The property is very nice. Pay attention to the room sizes. The owners are very upfront about the size of the rooms and two of them are a little small. We would have been very happy with the Queen room if we had been on a car trip. We were on a motorcycle trip so with all the gear we...

My wife and I checked into Historic Hill Inn in September 2015. The room we were offered was unsanitary and foul smelling (stained sheets and dog odors). We informed the managers that we could not stay. We did not insist on a refund; we just wanted to leave. The managers then screamed the most vulgar insults at us, using outrageous...

Unfortunately, the advent of the internet has presented a platform where dishonest people can & do say anything regardless of the truth. Just about everyone in business has been subjected to this type of abuse at some point. All it takes to refute a false narrative such as this is a quick visit to our website where you will see...

My boyfriend and I had to book a place relatively last minute in Newport and we chose another "bed and breakfast" a little further from the water. When we got to that place, it was pretty much a dump and my boyfriend insisted that we look around near Spring Street to see if we could get anything last minute. I'm...

I am not sure if I stayed at the same place as the one many had good things to say about it, but my experience was totally different. The room is so small it makes manhattan apartments look like a newport mansion. Noise is expected, I guess, but the bed is not even a queen (see pic). Breakfast was a...

When using derision to make a point, there needs to be an element of humor in addition to a bit of truth. This review has neither. It's simply rude. We have a very informative website, complete with a video tour, which these people saw prior to booking. We also had larger, more Deluxe rooms available at the time they booked...

Booked the budget room from a website but it was a bit too small for us when we saw it. Donna offered us another available room, which was fantastic; well worth paying a little bit more. It's a true home from home atmosphere with fantastic hosts, Richard and Donna. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about all the local amenities....

We absolutely loved staying at the Historic Hill Inn. Owners Rich and Donna were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and inviting. Tv in the room and private bath were a big plus. Not all B&B's offer that. Very centrally located was a big convenience. When in Newport RI,we will stay at the Historic Hill Inn!

The Historic Hill Inn is a home away from home. The Innkeepers Donna & Richard Karlowich are the BEST! You are treated as family in all ways. The rooms are wonderful and clean. They were great when it came to restaurants, places to see and in time of difficulty they were right there for you. There were 4 of us...

Asked for a room with a queen size bed, we got it but the room was way to small for a bed this size. Had about eight inches on each side of bed. The TV was an old one on a shelf to the left of the bed, so if you wanted to watch it you had to turn your...

With all due respect to the reviewer. We wish they had spent enough time researching their room selection as they have in writing this review. Had they taken just a few minutes to visit our website, read the room descriptions, which include room size, floor location & more importantly, taken the video tour, they could have ended up with a...

We loved this place, lovely spacious room with king bed and ensuite, fresh fruit for breakfast (as well as coffee and pastries) and everything with a really great home feel, but clean and neat as you'd expect. Donna and Richard (the hosts) couldn't have been warmer and more helpful, with great sightseeing tips and a sound knowledge of places to...

We had the pleasure of finding this B&B Inn by chance. The Inn is operated by Richard and Donna and they provided excellent hospitality. The Inn is conveniently located within a short walk to the harbor area with all the shops and dining. The breakfast that was provided was absolutely wonderful and the conversations were an added bonus. Thank you...
