Reviewed yesterday NEW

we have been coming to Newport for many years and tried so many places; Castle Hill, Cliffside, Chanler, Admiral Fitzroy etc and we finally had a chance to get the room we wanted at the Malbone. It is a gorgeous place with the nicest staff and they have a very nice tea and breakfast as well. I am glad we...

We have been doing an off season getaway to Newport the last several years. We previously stayed at local hotels. Both very nice and we had great stays there. This year decided to do something different and stay at a B and B and we are hooked. I have to say I honestly can not think of anything we were...

This was our second time staying at The Malbone. We love the location, the rooms, with comfy beds and a gas fireplace, the staff, the public spaces and the food. Not only is there a wonderful breakfast but there is afternoon tea with both sweet and savory treats.

With a good old fashioned Nor'easter behind us, and memories of last year's bitterly cold weather, we headed to Newport for what has become a traditional get-away to our favorite inn. We arrived in time to sample the afternoon tea offerings, a highlight of mid-day luxury that the Francis Malbone excels at. Sweet and savory fare is offered with a...

Just returned from a one night stay with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Loved it!!! Beautifully maintained inn, stately and beautiful but cozy and warm feeling at the same time. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Bianca for saving us a whole plate of goodies from afternoon tea since we weren't able to arrive for check-in...

This was our 4th time at this incredible place. With cozy fires, beautiful decor in the common space and our gorgeous room adding to the delicious breakfast every morning and the delightful treats in the afternoon, it brings a little slice of paradise for those needing an escape! Adding to it a Patriots Super Bowl win Sunday night and the...

Dear Val, It was so nice having you here and celebrating the Pats win together! It certainly was a special weekend, and now, for superstitious reasons you must return WHEN they are in it next year, if you are not already living around the corner. The chef was quite creative with his "comeback cakes"! He approaches everything with such passion,...

I recently stayed at the Francis Malone House with my fiancé and our best couple friends (who, it should be noted, love this place so much they visit at least twice a year and have been RAVING about it since we met them). The Inn definitely lived up to the hype my friends created. Upon entry, everyone was so friendly...

As usual the staff of the Francis Malbone House were wonderful - so helpful and friendly. The rooms were great and the fireplace added the romantic touch. The Malbone House is so close to everything downtown that we just walked to all the shops and restaurants. Fireplaces were the theme for the weekend - Malbone House has many, and all...

We visited this past weekend on the recommendation of our friends. We were NOT disappointed. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful and treated us like family. They are the heart of this Inn. As soon as we checked in, we were given a tour and were quite impressed with the period sitting rooms, the decor and the immaculate and...
