BLUF you'll save a few hundred dollars staying here vs staying out in the economy. You're experience won't be 100% fancy resort like, but honestly you can just walk down the beach a quarter mile to the Hilton and hang out there if you must. At least the Hale Koa isn't a money pit that tries to suck you dry...

My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon; what a fantastic hotel! The property is large and kept very clean. Our room was a little bit dated but everything looked well kept and the bed was comfortable. Honestly all we did in the room was sleep and eat some meals, as we were busy exploring Oahu. But...

The Hotel towers a probably 3 star facilities but everything else is great to stunning. My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks in 8 dec. to 22 dec. 2 weeks gave us the time to see what we wanted at a civilized pace and to work around the weather that turned out to be really nice. We also stayed...

My husband, I and our 4.5 year old stayed here for 8 days in December. The hotel is large with many restaurant options and right next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Parking is across the street and $8/day. The rooms are dated but very clean with a small fridge. There are no microwaves in the room but every floor has...

We've stayed here numerous times over the last 28 yrs, and I don't believe the rooms have been updated much, if at all, since we first went there. Of course, it offers the best grounds and pools in all of Oahu, but those are open to all military regardless of whether or not a paying guest. It's the rooms, and...

The front desk staff were always kind and accommodating. The hotel was neat and clean;especially the lobby. It was beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay again. There were also plenty of economical food choices if you have children.

The Hale Koa has nice on site amenities to include a shoppette, a beach bar, and several resturants. The location is awesome. I was a little disappointed with the staff at the reception desk. I requested a late checkout (1 hour) and was told they could accomidate it but would charge me for half a day. The room was average...

Great place to stay. Lots to offer families, lots of restaurants and other MWR facilities for the military. Rooms are a good value for the area, and there is beach access as well as a pool or two - one for adults and one for families. Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Bus runs right from outside the hotel. Only difficulty...

This was a return trip to the Hale Koa. We have been here several times over the last 10 years, and each time is really good. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating, doing everything to make our stay perfect. There was an issue with the door to the lanai in our room, and when called the response was only a...

Hale Koa is right on Waikiki and is a great spot to vacation, there are some requirements to stay here, check their website. This is our 3rd year of spending Christmas break here. The hotel offers luau, crafts, beach rental, swimming pools, playground, various dining and beach access. Actually many more amenities that I can't list them all, great family...
