Military only. This is an outstanding hotel for those eligible. Rooms are and the brunch adequate. Aside from those two average ratings, everything else is outstanding, especially considering the price. It cannot be beaten. We we initially concerned that a military resort would be overrun by kids. Not so. It is nothing like Shades of Green at WDW. There is...

We have stayed here about six times now have never been dissapointed. Outstanding staff is one of the best military lodgings we have stayed at. Hotel is right on beach. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet. We also enjoy sitting at the barefoot bar and enjoying the svening with other military guests. I highly reccommend .

It's not 5-star accommodation, but for the price, it is good value. Only drawback: the matresses are shockingly BAD. After two nights we had to ask for another mattress (although we were told they were all very new) because my husband woke up with nerve pain in his neck, shoulders, lower back. They kindly replaced the mattress with a new...

Granted, not everyone can stay at the Hale Koa. However, we were lucky enough to be able to stay there. The rates are great and the service was without complaint.. You cannot beat the location in the beach. The only complaint that I have is that the food selections at the barefoot bar and other food services has virtually no...

If you have a sponsor and need to stay in Waikiki there is no better value than the Hale Koa. Friendly service, on the beach , reasonable parking just adds to value. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean

We chose the Hale Koa because of the Military discount and tried to read as many reviews as possible before going. There were quite a few negative comments but we found none of the complaints to be justified in our case. During the busy Marathon and Christmas season we still received great customer service and our accommodations were clean and...

For our 1st stay, it was great. Great location, price, food places...I can not complain. Room decor needs to be updated but one can't have it all. Hale Koa is in a good central location for Honolulu landmark places. Parking could be improved as it was very full with banquet & wedding attendees. Hotel guests had to park on the...

First time in Hawaii, we were a party of 7, Hale Koa right on the beach, everything within walking distance, airport shuttle to and from Hale Koa excellent, town bus service only way to go, streets are very crowded, friendly people, food, room and service were great. The rooms might be a little out dated, but your not going to...

Loved staying here because of the commissary shopping on site, the buffet style restaurant and the small but convenient gym. The pool and beach access are great too. The rooms are a little outdated but overall it was great.

This was the first time I stayed at the Hale Koa. In a word, the best. While it might not be the most modern hotel, it had everything I wanted. The one thing that I really enjoyed was that you don't feel crowded on the hotel grounds. There was space. I enjoyed waking up and walking down to the beach...
