The Hale Koa grounds are spectacular, and the overall value is certainly a plus. The restaurants are another story. One evening we had an awful meal, and the other evening an exceptional one. The breakfast buffet was a good value with lots of variety. Having an Exchange on the property is convenient. Loved the pools, beach, and great location. I...

We met my father there for an event after staying elsewhere in Waikiki for five days. The grounds are amazing- the huge banyan tree is really something. It has a nice layout, the rooms are clean and well-serviced. There is an adult- only pool, but the beach bar is by the other one. The sand was more coarse than other...

The Hale Koa has been around since the 70's and some of their rooms look it. It's interesting that the newer tower has the most dated look while the older tower has apparently been renovated at some point. Old furniture, covers that slide off the bed they are so cheap however very colorful, small bathrooms with formica tops. The rooms...

Restaurant buffets (any) really good value. You won't save by going to the snack bars in Hale Koa. Although they have the poke bowl in the snack place really, really good but they run out fast. Long lines during check in/out times. Bell Capt desk has good transportation links/connections/information. Starbucks coffee avail 430 am - 2 pm near the lobby....

I will make this review short and sweet because I haven't stayed here yet... My wife and I will be going there in March 2015. I just want to give you a little bit of information on how easy it was to book. Everywhere I go I look for veteran discounts.. I earned it might as well use it. I...

We did a one week mom/daughter getaway. It was our first time in Hawaii and I'm so thankful we stayed at the Hale Koa. We are adventurous and energetic so we only planned on sleeping there but we ended up using much more of their amenities then we expected. We never saw the maid but the room was cleaned daily....

Hale Koa is a excellent place to stay. It's right on the beach and the facilities are outstanding. However, it's a recreation center for the Military and DOD personnel. So not everyone can be accepted. For those who can, it's a great place and the best bargain on the beach. The room are large, clean and updated with everything you...

Pretty average place ... Rooms aren't bad, decent rate --- most annoying is that it exists for military personnel, but their service really isn't that great. Maybe it's because they know you're going to stay there regardless, but it just really bothered me ... I think I'll look at other options next time I'm in town. Overall, it's an okay...

I stayed here with some friends and family. It's a nice hotel for military service members and their families. The grounds are very nice. The pool is nice. It has a bar area and a snack bar incase you get hungry. It's right of Waikiki beach.

Hotel living is tough, really, it is. It seems like a dream, but it's tough. We were in the Hale Koa for 31 days as we were moved to the island and house hunting. We experienced almost everything the Hale Koa has to offer, and we loved it. Before I go into detail, make sure you look through your welcome...
