At the beginning, this hotel felt further from Kalakaua avenue than I thought. Kalakaua to me IS Waikiki Beach. The shops, restaurants and beach on that stretch is what I know and love. But then I discovered that I was just a short 10 min...More
I loved the service at this hotel, and especially that the staff clearly worked hard to get me a room with an ocean view as a Diamond member. The first night they had a pool view only, but then were able to switch me to...More

Staff at breakfast very nice. Housekeeping sweet. With a baby need more trash cans. Happy hour busy but go to the panini bar not the front bar. Pool nice and great view. Registration staff quick and pleasant.

Hi, the hotel is not directly on the beach but is a short walk to the beach. However if you take the shortest route the beach that is closest is not great and there are no umbrellas. BUT, a short (5 minute) walk along the walkway provided for everyone to access- through some hotels - and you arrive in the main part of Waikiki Beach. Spectacular backdrop and great swimming (yes to not big waves) I wouldn’t snorkel there but know you can and some do! Save the snorkel until you go to Haunauma Bay, a must do when you stay on Oahu. We went in June-July and it was pretty busy, so think May would definately be a quieter month.....but also think it’s always busy in Waikiki!
