I love vacationing at the Plumeria Hostel. This is the only place I'll think of staying when I'm in Hawaii. The comfort level is exactly what I look for when I'm on vacation.

Accommodating. Private and social space. Random unique house mates. All basic utensils and appliance were supplied and in good working order. No need to go buy necessities. Fantastic experience.

I was amazed! Arrived in town with no place to home. As night fell, quick, I searched Google Maps, called two places, and Plumeria's good vibe came through the phone. With in walking distance to beach, grocery, restaurants, I had a private room within 45 minutes. Thank you! And not to mention, I am really enjoying my stay.

Fast and easy, the personnel is really nice and at your service when you need it. The bed was comfortable and the room had a fan, dresser, everything you need. I lived in a dorm which meant only sharing room with one other person which was better than expected. Kitchen was pretty clean for it being communal. The outside common...

I come to Hawaii for small business all the time, I tried this place out last time and liked it a lot. I didn't mind sharing the room because I always packed very lightly and always had my laptop on me. For the length of stay that I needed the price was great! Definitely will try them again next trip.

The staff and other guests are very friendly, an interesting opportunity to interact with others. Definitely a great place for a short or maybe even a long stay. Everything you need on site or within walking distance, even the beach!

My boyfriend and I arrived in Honolulu and stayed at the Plumeria for our stay in Honolulu. It was exactly what we expected from reading about it online. It is not a five star hotel so do not expect all the amentities. You will need to bring your own towels to shower and dry your hands. You also need to...

I have stayed at the Plumeria TWO times. The first time I needed a place near the Honolulu Art Museum so I could walk 4 blocks and attend 14 week classes from Jan-May, 2007. I could afford both the housing and the 5 classes I took at the Honolulu Acadamy of Arts. I enjoyed my private room with AC/ Ceiling...

I have holidayed at the Plumeria for the last 5 years running, for 2-3 months on every occasion, so I am very familiar with this property. It is an excellent choice for budget travelers who want to spend several weeks or longer in Hawaii...it is also much more sociable than being in an anonymous hotel room! The management changed about...

I stayed here in February, and thought that it was great. Having spent $100 per night to stay in Waikiki on past trips, it was great to find a place in Honolulu for $250 per week. It was under new management, and I saw improvements being made all over. The office staff was friendly and helpful, and there are restaurants...

“If you want to stay in the all Women Dorm then the best way to get it is to travel with other women friends and book all the rooms together. That's usually why it's hard to get a room there because friends book the room all at once. When I stayed there the bathroom was crowded so if you really need to go there is a "Zippy's" restaurant across the street with a bathroom you can use (they don't mind) and if you need a bathroom late at night on the other side of the street is a Safeway and they are open 24/7. To get less road noise at night ask for a room closer to the office (so, away from the roads) and enjoy a better nights sleep!”
