I won't go into length since there are apparently almost 200 reviews for this hotel. I'm writing this just to keep it current. Our party consisted of 4 separate families who rented 4 separate rooms for a week. All in Tower 2. Believe most of what's been said here. The furniture *is* a little old. The elevators *are* slow. etc.....

We recently returned from a month long trip to Hawaii, which our first stop was 6 nights at this hotel. It is in a really convenient location for the beach and shopping, just 2 blocks. There are no proper supermarkets around Waikiki but of course the ABC's are everywhere. We mainly ended up getting takeout most nights and eating in...

We arrived at the Banyan absolutely bedraggled after having no sleep. Though it was early we were able to get into our room (courtesy of Thomas Edwards, I think his site is 'stayatwaikiki'). To see it so spacious and welcoming and filled with light (a corner unit) was wonderful. My husband and I desperately wanted a 1-bedroom as we were...

We booked a room here and was a little worried because the price was so low, BUT we loved our stay here! Our room had 2 full size beds and a queen sofa couch. The kitchen was well equiped with everything that we needed (2 pots, frying pan, knifes, cups, plates, bowels, tea kettle, ice trays, baking pans). It was...

I stayed for 13 nights staying with a girlfriend from UK, I arrived early and was hoping for a early bookin but it was booked out so no worries, I walked around the beach and just waited. I have to say the staff where wonderful and understanding they get a 5 star from me. Our room was clean, big kitchen...

Yes, some of the rooms have soft furnishings that are a little tired, but this hotel is perfect if you are travelling with young children and need somewhere that provides large rooms and great kitchen facilities. We travelled with a one year old and it was essential that we could have some meals in our room. All kitchen equipment that...

Ok, I've read most of the negative reviews on here and all I can say to most is get over yourself. This hotel is what it is. If you are looking for a hotel that is top of the line, fancy furniture, plasmas, hotel staff kissing the ground you walk on and being able to have all that you need...

Just returned from the Waikiki Banyan. I met AU friends who arrived a few days before me. We had two rooms directly across from each other which worked out wonderfully since there was one bath per two women (four of went on this trip). 1202 was the better of the two with a nice water view and a larger space....

We booked our stay at the Banyan through Travelocity and paid about $100/night including taxes. Parking at the hotel's attached garage was an additional $8/24 hours. We didn't expect much, just a room with a queen bed and a balcony. What we got was essentially a 1 bedroom condominium with full kitchen (including cooking ware, dish towels etc.) and a...

As one of the top Travel Agents that sell Hawaii, I decided to visit Waikiki in September the same way my clients would. I did not take advantage of any Travel Agent discounts, nor did anyone know I was a travel agent. I booked my 4 night stay the same way I would for all my clients. I pretty much...
