Stayed early to mid June 2012 for 5 nights. Family with teenagers. Booking was done through 3rd party website. Location is to the East of Waikiki's Kalakaua Avenue, close to Honolulu Zoo. A Starbucks is just around the corner, and there's plenty of convenience stores and small cafes at the ground floor of the building. The plus of the location...

The hotel was clean, and close to almost everything Waikiki. Frances at the concierge desk was amazing!! She set us up with great excursions. The morning breakfast buffet was a waste though. There were so many people (at one point a woman reached over me and grabbed the last muffin that I was about to take!) This isn't necessarily the...

Having never visited Hawaii before and being my first OS trip I researched accommodation in Waikiki for weeks, read hundreds of reviews of countless hotels. There was just something about the Aston that kept coming back to the top. So I sat on that thought and when I was ready to book I discovered a deal on their website and...

Aloha and thank you for the great review! We sincerely appreciate your support. I wanted to point out that Eric, one of our Breakfast Musicians, is one of the finest local musicians in the state of Hawaii. The Aston was just right for our family. The location was great with a perfect, safe beach right out front, without the insane crowds further towards the bigger resorts just down the road. It was very clean. It is NOT a resort and does not claim to be. The pool area is ok, but nothing special. Much better to just...

This hotel is in a great location with a great vibe. You really feel like you're in the heart of it all. What a brillant elevator system! It is well worth getting the beach view or beach front rooms. Swimming pool area is quite small and breakfast time can get quite busy. The music from the Tiki bar on floor...

Aloha and thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am glad that overall you enjoyed your stay. It is true, we were extremely busy toward the end of June, and were stretched at the Front Desk and in Housekeeping. I am glad, however, that the employees continued to give great service and that we continued to...

They charge $2 if you lose the little plastic key card. There are little labeles taped to all of the items in the hotel telling you how much they will charge you if it's missing when you check out. $30 to park, and it takes them 20 min to get your car. No bottled water in the room. Pool is...

Aloha and thank you for staying with us. We post a deposit on the key cards because there is a unique chip in each one that is very expensive. This chip is the identity that the elevator keypad reads when you tag in the lobby. Each card is approximately ten times more expensive than the usual key card. Valet Parking...

And why not, It's right across the street from Waikiki Beach! Like many hotels in Waikiki, the room is smallish, but is very clean and comfy for two. The breakfast deal is pretty cool.
