We had 2 bedrm unit facing the street. I asked for quiet room and was told that all the 2bdrms face the street. hard to believe they don't have any 2 bdrm facing the canal. as I had feared the unit was very noisy. the windows do not shut completely so it was very noisy with the dump trucks in...

This hotel is older but very clean and the rooms are quite large. We had a balcony so could sit outside if we wished. The kitchenette is pretty old but perfectly functional so we could make our own meals if we wished. The only problem we had was with wi-fi. We couldn't pick it up in our room but we...

The Ilima is an older hotel close to the International Market and within walking distance of Waikiki Beach. The bedroom was large with a small kitchen. Could use some sprucing up, but it was very reasonably priced for the area and parking was free in their garage. I'd stay there again.

Pros - Large room and central location. Relatively inexpensive. Con's - Bed not overly comfortable, old fashioned decor and staff could have been more helpful.

This is an old hotel that has been refurbished. We had a fantastic room with a large balcony, great view and in-room fridge, stove, microwave and sink. Very clean, lots of space, helpful staff. We had a generally wonderful experience. It sits about three blocks from the beach. With free internet and free parking we saved money by staying there.

We spent the first part of our Hawaiian vacation at the Ilima. Large Room, full kitchen, King sized bed (ask for it). This is a no frills establishment... there is no in-house restaurant, the decor is dated and the pool small. The free parking is a big bonus but is sometimes full, make sure you are back a liitle earlier...

This hotel is NOT the Ritz, but it also costs a fraction of the price. The rate was very affordable and we received a large room with a nice kitchenette, balcony with a great view, and a comfortable bed. Honestly the place was larger and quieter with a better view than my timeshare I had for the rest of the...

We came here for a conference/vacation. The rooms are HUGE, the front desk staff will go out of their way to help you, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. The location is one block from the beach and across the road from the International Market - where we had all our dinners. There is a grocery...

Excellent front desk staff - friendly and helpful! Wonderful view from room/balcony, looking at the Ala Wai Canal and Mountains. Wow! Friendly maid service. A close walk to everything - eg. Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Waikiki Beach, restaurants, etc. Picked up at front door by tour bus to Dole Plantation. Could go on and on about how great this vacation...

IIlima was a departure point for our day trips to Hanauma, Koko Crater, Diamand Head, Kailua beach, Peral Harbor etc., it is not a resort for lounging around. It is two blocks from the beach, and 1 block from the international market place. We had the deluxe studio unit, very large, kitchen, and our view faced the Ala Wai Canal,...
