I stayed at Queen Kapiolani from April 12-18, 2017. The hotel was built in 1969 and appears it has not been upgraded since. This was my seventh trip to Waikiki in seven years. I decided to try Queen Kapiolani because I had never stayed on the east end of Waikiki. Things did not go well and this hotel proved to...

This was our first visit since the new owners took over during our visit two years ago. I was surprised that not a lot has changed. There is now a resort fee, that gives you wifi in your room. We were on the 16th floor and the signal was strong, so we were happy with that. The hotel is showing...

This hotel has been perfect the last 2 visits, it is one block from the Waikiki Beach and has the best views of Diamond Head and Ocean Views if you book the view room categories, it is worth paying for the view rooms. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, nice pool and deck area. In the lobby they have...

This place was the first stop on our Hawaiian honeymoon and we couldn't be happier with it. Our room had a beautiful ocean view and air conditioning worked great. The guy who checked us in (I think his name was Noli) was incredibly friendly as were all the bellhops we encountered. Terry the concierge was able to get us a...

Time this place had a major refurbishment...it is more like a Dowager Queen. Upon arrival greeted by a less than friendly front desk staff member. We were hit with a resort tax, this place is far from a resort...couldn't get towels poolside and had to chase up for myself. The room we had was a city view room...great if you...

The hotel is 2 blocks from the beach and right across the street from the Honolulu Zoo. The restaurant on the 3rd floor is nice and the food is good. This is also where the pool is. The area offers a great view of Diamond Head. It's an older hotel and a bit worn. Our room was particularly dingy. Bathroom,...

The Kapiolani staff were five star for their customer service in accommodating an early check in for a 3:30 wedding in Kaneohe on the same day when the Honolulu Half marathon was going on. The check out receptionist, Jocelyn Vallejo was exceptional, efficient and exhibited the Aloha that local people appreciate! Lenore Wong added to that spirit! We would return...

This hotel advertises a certain price on their website, adds an excessive amount of fees upon online checkout, an additional fee upon check-in at the hotel, and (as if that's not enough) a $30/day hotel parking fee (FYI: there is $8 parking per day right across the street, cheaper metered spots nearby and even free parking near the park not...

The hotel lobby is open and and very nice with marble flooring. The front desk lady when we checked in was extremely nice and super helpful. The room is pretty standard. Our room was two double beds and a deck. Room was facing all of the other hotels. Not the greatest view. The bathroom is completely retro, but does the...
