Hotel La Croix (pronounced “La-Croy”) is a 192 room boutique hotel offering uncompromising value through a soothing and connected experience that will bring light to your spirit and soul.
Experience the best of both worlds, with both palm-tree filled parks and Luxury Row shops and dining both within your reach. La Croix, means “The Cross” (crossroads) in French. It's a fitting name, given that it prominently sits at the gateway of Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kuhio, the two main streets of Waikiki. Take in unobstructed ocean views, with the lapping waves just a short walk away.
The iconic words inscribed at the bottom of our photo-ready pool offer up our goals are for our guests: to experience the Island’s love + aloha.
We've put meticulous care into allowing our guests to connect with Hawaii during their stay. As you walk along the floors in your room, feel a sense of connection to the locally sourced hardwoods beneath your feet. Along the walls, too, we have routed solid wood piece by piece, just as Hawaiian royalty did at their beach houses over 100 years ago. As you sit on furniture refinished by local craftsmen, take in ocean views from your oversized lanai surrounded by real plants.
At Hotel La Croix, we are grateful of the opportunity to be the stewards of a landmark Property. Our goals are to serve and enrich the experience of our guests from all over the world with our love + aloha.
Fair warning this is a longer review but I believe in giving accurate, honest, and complete info. Cute and solid hotel, the staff is very friendly, courteous and have good recommendations. Having two balconies was nice and the ocean view was stunning! It’s in a good location that’s walking distance Waikiki Beach and the main streets for downtown, and allows viewing the fireworks on Friday nights. There’s a small convenience style store attached to the hotel and valet parking which are two additional nice features. Both do come with an additional price but again the staff is fantastic in both. I’d give it 5 stars but there are a few draw backs to just be aware of. A. Yes it’s an older building but it’s been renovated to be cute and has a general vintage retro style going in the rooms. The main lobby is more modern. B. The beds are very firm, but when asked the staff brought more pillows which helps some. This also applied for the furniture in the rooms as a whole. The beds are clean as are the linens and pillows. C. The pool is small and the chlorine was super high when I went down. I went in for 10 mins and came out with an angry, itchy, hives style red rash literally all over my body. They lasted multiple days and were painful. It’s matches what happens when there is an insanely high chlorine levels. We talked to the staff about, they had no records of chemical or PH levels from the day. This is concerning for a wide range of reasons and regulations. Be cautious about using the pool, rinse off very thoroughly after use, and rinse out or wash swimsuits. If anyone is sensitive to chlorine just don’t do it! When brought up to night manager they did close the pool early. No other resolutions were offered by the hotel for the discomfort and damage done. It took over a week for the chlorine rash/burn to heal. C1. There’s no hot tub but there is a sauna. I didn’t try out the sauna so I can’t say one way or another. There’s a small bar by the pool to which is kinda fun. D. You can hear through the walls fairly well. Not horribly but if there are kids playing in the room next door you’ll hear them. The sliding doors do surprisingly well at keeping out the street noise. E. You have to request maid service 24 hours in advance if you want it. Which isn’t a bad thing but could be an issue depending on personnel traveling style/expectations. It’s easy to make any and all requests as they have a main texting line set up that’s monitored. In summary it’s a cute, quaint, but solid hotel. Fantastic staff, good location, and clean. Would recommend it to anyone looking for simple accommodations over fancy resort style hotel.…
I stayed in a penthouse suite and wow! Perfect, unobstructed view of Waikiki beach and the ocean since there’s a park right in front. The front desk staff are great and ESPECIALLY the turn down service from Mhila! Thank you for your kindness and attention! You replenished my room with anything I needed with a smile and warn tone. Thanks! Will come back anytime!
Arrived at hotel La Croix for my birthday vacation and was not disappointed. The rooms were beautiful and clean and had updated amenities. They are currently doing some upgrades so I can only imagine how great it will be when everything is completed. We were given an upgrade to our room with a better view of the ocean at no cost. Best part about this stay was meeting bartender Vincent at the pool! I was initially a bit skeptical because the pool seemed small and I didn’t know if my large group would have a good time, but upon arrival Vincent made sure myself and all my friends had a great time. He gave great food, beach, club and drink recommendations. His customer service went above and beyond and because of that, we were able to enjoy many other hidden gems throughout Honolulu! Thanks to Vincent for helping make my stay at Hotel La Croix pleasant! I will definitely be returning.…
Amazing trip amazing customer service ask for Craig is the best All the best but he is the man I love the place is very comfortable great location today clean safety everyone love I’m definitely gonna come back here again
We stayed here for a short vacay to celebrate my first 50th year. It’s a hotel I would have overlooked had it not been for Vincent’s recommendation. The room was well furnished and clean upon arrival. The drinks at the bar that Vince made were excellent…especially the Mango Mule and Ube colada. The pool seemed small at first glance but as a lounge pool it was sufficient and a plus that it was seated as it was raining during our trip. Excellent service and welcoming staff as well!!!
Highly recommended for a wonderful stay in Waikiki. Great view of the ocean and sunset looking over the park. If you can do it, highly recommend a skyline or terrace room The view from the Skyline room is amazing! Comes with kitchenette that helps to save money. Comes with access to Monkeypod VIP room. The perks with this room made our stay even better. The staff of this hotel went out of their way to be sure we were happy! Excellent location. Tours and trips pick up and drop off at hotel door. ABC store at corner of property very convenient for food, sundries, souvenirs, liquor, etc. Overall awesome experience- would definitely stay here again.
This is my 6th time staying on them, and oh boy it feels like the very first time i came to see Hawaii, the service they provide is absolutely the best of the best. One of the many that i love about this hotel is the Monkeypod and i tell you is a must, the scenic view that this hotel can offer is a BAM!!!!!. Thanks to Precious for making my stay super enjoyable and memorable.. See you guys in a few months.
I spent most of my time at the pool and pool bar. All of the staff were very kind and friendly but Vincent the bartender was the absolute best. He kept us informed on the best places to be in hawaii and always had a smile on his face! View from our room was also amazing.
We’re a family that communicate with ASL. Our family met amazing young lady Renee in the Monkey Pod. Nice she was able to communicate to my husband and I with ASL talking about the amazing view. The place is amazing staff full of smiles. Room definitely clean. Our family would definitely be coming back soon.
Vincent made my stay at the hotel very welcoming being a solo traveler. He provided great recommendations on where to go and things to do, and great service and drinks at the pool. The hotel pool is very cute. The hotel is not far from the beach and other main attractions. The room was clean and the staff were all nice. There is an ABC convenient store next door and this was great for getting water and snacks.
