Hotel La Croix (pronounced “La-Croy”) is a 192 room boutique hotel offering uncompromising value through a soothing and connected experience that will bring light to your spirit and soul.

Experience the best of both worlds, with both palm-tree filled parks and Luxury Row shops and dining both within your reach. La Croix, means “The Cross” (crossroads) in French. It's a fitting name, given that it prominently sits at the gateway of Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kuhio, the two main streets of Waikiki. Take in unobstructed ocean views, with the lapping waves just a short walk away.

The iconic words inscribed at the bottom of our photo-ready pool offer up our goals are for our guests: to experience the Island’s love + aloha.

We've put meticulous care into allowing our guests to connect with Hawaii during their stay. As you walk along the floors in your room, feel a sense of connection to the locally sourced hardwoods beneath your feet. Along the walls, too, we have routed solid wood piece by piece, just as Hawaiian royalty did at their beach houses over 100 years ago. As you sit on furniture refinished by local craftsmen, take in ocean views from your oversized lanai surrounded by real plants.

At Hotel La Croix, we are grateful of the opportunity to be the stewards of a landmark Property. Our goals are to serve and enrich the experience of our guests from all over the world with our love + aloha.

Decent smaller hotel means you don’t have to wait long for elevators, valet, traffic, and it’s on the end of Waikiki that makes it convenient to get to airport and North Shore. We rented a car, our valet guys were the best (Aloha Miles and Wendell), Miles suggested Duke’s breakfast buffet and it was a great deal at $25/person (too bad we weren’t within walking distance because those valet parking fees in Waikiki are no joke! $6 for every 30 minutes, unless you eat at Hula Grill then it’s $15 for up to 4 hours-partial validation) The room itself was completely adequate. We booked a “silver king”room and I was pleased that we were on the 17th floor (almost the top) with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean (well, more like the sky above the ocean). I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want to enjoy the hotel. It’s more of a place to get ready and sleep (not necessarily relax at the hotel). My husband enjoyed the night time balcony views of the buildings and traffic. I had looked at pictures online and worried I would be facing construction or have the sliding bathroom door privacy issue, but those issues did not apply to my room. Bathroom is a standard tub/shower combo. Updated vanity. Bed mattress felt springy (like an older mattress, no memory foam) but was comfortable. Only one nightstand, I moved the footstool next to the bed to serve as a second nightstand. Mini fridge was nice. No keurig coffee maker in the room but you can get coffee in the lobby downstairs. Parking fee was $45 per night. Resort fee was $40/night. For the resort fee we picked up 2 folding camping chairs to use at the beach and needed to return them each night. They were a pain to fold up and down because sand gets in the legs (they pack into a travel bag, not designed for the beach). I asked if they had the low Tommy Bahama type beach chairs that you see around, and they said they were all broken except 1. I tried to negotiate a cheaper resort fee with my AAA card (they offer 30 percent off if you book directly with them) but since we booked through a 3rd party they wouldn’t adjust it. The pool is looked at but never used. It’s small and we were out and about a lot. The ice machine is hiding in the parking garage behind the washer/dryer. ABC store was convenient. We also really enjoyed our dinner at the Tommy Bahama restaurant and rooftop bar, within walking distance. Eggs n things we didn’t make it to for breakfast but you can walk there too.

Nice clean modern hotel in a decent location which is a good value for the money. Staff were very nice. They stored our bags after checkout. No frills but did have most of the basics like fitness and pool. Would have appreciated a coffee maker and iron in the room, but did have a fridge. Seemed like a safe area and not a bad walk to Waikiki. My only complaint was that they didn’t really give me a clear number up front as to the total cost with taxes and fees. They said the room would be $155 plus additional charges (including resort fee). The total ended up being about $214 per night, which was still very reasonable. The room was small and had a balcony that faced a construction site, which was no fault of theirs. They had an ABC convenience store onsite. No restaurant but can order room service and there were many nice options in Waikiki about 5-10 min walk away. We ate at some of the hotel restaurants down there that were super nice and had live entertainment. Food and drink prices were about the same as west coast prices.

Aloha and Mahalo for this review, Our platinum and gold rooms come with the coffee maker and iron/board which has amazing value and incredible views for the price you them for , they also include access to the monkey pod lounge which is also a great place to enjoy snacks and beverages during your stay here. Apologies on the resort charge and missing the ball explaining the related charges. In All a great hotel with all real luxury materials at great prices to enjoy. Quiet and close to everything. It's an old building but everything is clean. The toilet runs. And there is no microwave in the room. But there is one downstairs near the water refill station. That refill station saved us a lot of money on water. Bring a water bottle with you to hawaii, it's not cheap! Our house keeper Ramos (?) took very good care of us. We didn't see the other staff often but they were always polite and helpful if needed.

There is NO HOUSEKEEPING CLEANING SERVICE in this HOTEL. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we requested the housekeeping cleaning several times, but NO ONE really come to clean the room. The only thing that that the front desk do is to apologize and sent someone to put down the new towels and new bed sheet and let the customer change everything on their own even if the customer has already PAID for everything. Really bad experience and please be mindful if you want to stay in this hotel for your wonderful vacation.

Great location at the north end of Waikiki literally 10 minutes walk from Dukes and Surf Board Alley. The price makes this a great value, and with its small infinity pool and bar, it is great spot to enjoy Waikiki without wasting money. We stayed here twice in two weeks - once outbound and once on our return to the mainland. It would be 5* except that wi-fi is spotty. Our first room it was great, but almost ziltch on the second room. Buyer beware: ask to check your room if wi-fi matters to you, or get an assurance from the front desk at book-in. (Check out Arnold's Beach Bar across the park - one of the last old Waikiki hangouts)

Our experience was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was professional and efficient. Food service, once gotten the correct website, was delicious and timely. Our room was beautiful and luxurious. Even though there was some construction work going on next door it was barely noticeable. Overall it was very quiet and relaxing. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families as there is not a lot for kids to do. The pool is a very small lap pool is tailored to adults. So I would highly recommend this hotel for budget conscious couples looking for a relaxing hotel with just enough luxury to remind you that you are in Hawaii!

We are a family of 4 that was looking for a hotel with a kitchenette and queen-sized beds. Hotel La Croix was able to deliver that and there were almost none in Waikiki with those features at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. There were also little things that I appreciated about this hotel: amazing lobby coffee, guest appreciation Happy Hour in the Monkeypod lounge, a few beach amenities, and its location. It wasn't right on the beach, but I was able to walk to DeRussy beach in 6 minutes, 5 minute walk to 7-11 for quick supplies, 20 minute walk to Ala Moana Centre, WalMart (for groceries - $10 Uber ride back), and bus access almost right outside the door. If you're looking for a more budget friendly vacation in Waikiki, you can't go wrong with this hotel especially a suite with kitchenette.

This place is good for folks who want a good stay in Waikiki that is not a chain. The best part was the customer service at the front desk and Rachel serving drinks up at the bar - she was SO NICE and friendly! Reasonably priced drinks and a great happy hour! The food and beverage manager was great to talk to as well. The ABC store in the building is very convenient too. Thanks Hotel LaCroix!
