After extensive research about hotels in Honolulu, I decided on the Lotus for our first vacation trip since the beginning of the pandemic. The Lotus experience surpassed all my expectations. What a fabulous location, steps away from two beaches, a world-class French restaurant, Ily coffee and Italian espresso maker in the room, fancy and convenient beach chairs and luxurious towels for the beach days. We walked everyday to the Barefoot Beach cafe nearby, the most scrumptious local restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with live music, ever! Walking 15 minutes more through the gorgeous park with lush trees and families having picnics, you get to the craziness, tourist-drenched Waikiki. What also makes the Lotus unique is its staff: Jessica (the fantastic Jessica, what glowing energy!), Christie (high beautiful vibe), Lita, Mari, Marilou, Zee, Rogie, Lester, George, Mila! We had already spent 3 weeks travelling around the world when we arrived to Hawaii early in the morning after a night flight. I had spent a long time on deciding on which hotel to book. Booked Lotus hoping it will be a bit more relaxed and quiet and that’s exactly what we got. We arrived very early to the hotel to leave our bags. We met a very nice smiling lady in the reception and she was able to give us our room straight away. She made our day so much easier and we were able to get some washing done and have a shower before going out exploring. Both me and my partner work for an airline and appreciate amazing helpful hotel staff. A big thank you to Christieann.

Great hotel, super friendly staff. It was nice to be away from the touristy Waikiki strip. Most people around hotel are locals, except the hotel guests of course. Met come nice locals who chatted with us about the area and the resident monk seals. Grab your camera! Only a 5 minute walk to the Waikiki restaurants and shopping (Kalakaua Ave). Upon arriving, James helped us with our bags and helped us pick a nice parking spot for our rental car (free parking). Plenty of parking under the hotel structure, right in front of the main hotel doors. Rihan checked us in and even helped take pictures of us near the fountain (she saw that we were struggling with selfies, haha). We saw James and Rihan most of our trip, and they were both super friendly and helpful. Our room on the 12th floor was fantastic. Views of both Diamond Head and the Ocean. We sat on that balcony many times, sipping coffee and eating snacks. It was so relaxing. We went snorkeling off the beach just next to the Outrigger Canoe Club (it’s a public beach). Super short walk from hotel. Grab towels at front desk. Water was clear and warm. Saw 3 turtles and a bunch of fish. There’s an outdoor shower next to hotel to rinse off sand. We loved the TBD Bar + Lounge…and the 2 free glasses of wine during the 5pm-6:30pm social for hotel guests. We ordered food and cocktails too, which were delicious. Bartender, Ostein, is a master at making pretty, delicious drinks. We also saw James, doing double duty as a server. Awesome! Julie, the hotel manager, was there greeting guests. She is so nice. The hotel was in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough to walk to (pleasant 1/2 mile walk along a pretty park along the Ocean). We could get to the East Shore without going through the Honolulu traffic as well. The staff was perhaps the best part; warm, friendly, and helpful; I can't say enough about them; they really made us feel at home. Our room was in excellent shape and was quite large. All the features seemed well thought out. Lots of towels, good places to put things in the bathroom, free washers/dryers (2 each) available for use on the 3rd floor. Our room had a great view of Diamond Head and we could see the Ocean between a couple of buildings (pictures show the view in each direction). Overall it is just what we were looking for. …

So, we booked this online after reading the reviews but like all unknowns were still a tad skeptical. On arrival, at 9.30am as the cruise let us off early, Rihan surprised us with 'your rooms are ready' . BIG tick, we were able to unpack and settle in and then start our day's explorations. The lift is not the best advertisement but the room was large and clean & very well appointed, even down to the free water bottles. We were on the 3rd floor so the views were somewhat restricted, go higher if you can. Mari serviced our rooms and did an excellent job daily, fitting into our erratic routines, The front desk was generally 'manned' by Christiann who injected unbridled enthusiasm and laughter into every day. Also a font of knowledge and very helpful when our airport shuttle failed to materialise. She knew their number off the top of her head!! How much better customer service can you get? The beach was as close as they say although you do need to navigate carparks and buildings. The towels and beach chairs just made it all the better. All in all we had a wonderful stay, looked after by amazing staff and were far enough out of Waikiki to avoid the crush but not too far out to be isolated. We will be back!…

We had a great stay at the Lotus for 3 nights. Christieann and the rest of the front desk staff was very helpful to make our stay very comfortable. They gave us helpful tips for our sightseeing and recommended some really cool places. Always lovely to be greeted with a smile! Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Honolulu!

The best hotel stay I’ve ever had. They treated my husband and I like kings for our wedding trip. From the moment I walked in the door and Rhian checked me in until the moment I checked out they made sure we had every thing we needed. They truly took the best care of us and made us fell special for our special week. I took this trip to Oahu with my mom, who was born in Pearl Harbor. She had spent a lot of time as a girl on the Le'ahi side of the island, so we chose the Lotus Honolulu. From check in to check out, the staff was friendly and helpful (Christieann, Jame, Sarah, Ryan and Mila). Our room was on the top floor and had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the ocean from the lanai. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The decor was nice and the room was spacious and clean. Location could not have better. There was beach access thru the parking lot of the hotel, and we were adjacent to the Outrigger Canoe Club as well. The property sat across the street from Queen Kapiolani Park (Big Grassy Park) and was about a 15 minute walk to the edge of Waikiki -- Yet, this area was peaceful and uncrowded. ** I suggest an Early brisk walk from the hotel to Waikiki and beyond, before the crowds get there -- to pay homage to the statue of Duke Kahanamoku. The only small glitch to our stay was the few little maintenance issues we had in the beginning, which were very quickly sorted out. Mahalo & Aloha!…
