This B&B was magnificent. It is a beautiful old home with it's roots deep in Civil war history. The innkeepers were lovely and there was a video telling the history of the mansion. If the rooms are not occupied you are invited to tour the home. The parking is off street and convenient.

My husband and I stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The house, garden and brick walkways are beautiful! It gives you the southern feel of what the past was like when looking at all the antiques and décor. The employees and owner, Tom Pharr, were very gracious. We will definitely be back again.

The Anchuca is a beautiful example of a Southern Antebellum mansion. Furnishings and finishings were almost all gorgeous antiques! Unfortunately for us, we booked our room in the carriage house, which although nice enough, paled by comparison to the main house. If you get the opportunity, stay in the main house and get some historical perspective on the house and...

Room 6, in the outbuilding, provided a shaded, cool, quiet, comfortable stop after a day o cycling the park and seeing the Cairo. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast to start an active day. Short walk to te old courthouse and nearby restaurants.

Stayed in the carriage house which is furnished with antiques and has both A/C and a fireplace. Room is not large but adequate and quiet. Breakfast was good with eggs and homemade cheese grits. Dinner was far better. Great steak for my husband and sea bass for me. Everything was delicious.

In desperate need of a break from New Orleans Mardi Gras, we went for a four day weekend trip to Vicksburg, and stayed this past weekend at Anchuca, in the King's Quarters Room which overlooks the beautiful courtyard. Our room was so comfortable and pleasant and inviting. Everything here was perfect - the dining room is beautiful, with brick floors...

Was in Vicksburg visiting a dear friend this weekend and we went to Anchuca for Sunday brunch today - one word, delightful! My friend had raved that it was hands down the best restaurant in Vicksbrg, and it did not disappoint! Given it was warm, but not hot, the three of us opted to eat brunch outside in the garden...

The Food there was very good and the People very nice. But the best Thing was the pool. There´s nothing better than a quiet, nice pool when it´s hot and muggy outside after an . accomodation ist nice, and as the owners said, the disturbance of the kitchen van had been shut of at night.

The historical context of this B&B contributed to our initial decision to stay here whilst in Vicksburg but the beautiful rooms and friendliness of the people made our stay memorable. We were fortunate in that we were only ones who were staying in the main house - which allowed us to take our time exploring. It's evident that the owners...
