My husband stayed at the McNutt House for 2 months. This is an awesome place if you need and extended stay. We highly recommend. Elvin and Pam, the owners and innkeepers, are wonderful and so accommodating. A close walk to old downtown and lots of great shopping and eating establishments. We will return when the opportunity comes up again.

Elvin was welcoming and waiting for us on arrival. Showed us how everything worked in Suites 3 & 4 in Magill House plus the laundry facilities. Stayed 3 nights in clean comfortable rooms and enjoyed the beautifully maintained courtyard garden by Pam. Make sure you take the McNutt House historical informative tour with Elvin who is very knowledgeable. Highly recommended...

We stayed at the McNutt house for about 2 months while we were looking to buy a house. It was a nice place to stay and they were very accommodating to us not having a end date. The garden area was very nice, and some nights ghost tours would walk through. Neat place to stay.

We stayed one night in one of the McNutt House's suites and really enjoyed it. The check was easy and the innkeeper showed us around our room, making sure we knew where everything was and how to operate the TV, etc. The room was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. The location is a little odd, it's on the...

I was very fortunate to find this accommodation. I had to make arrangements I the fly because i picked up a 13 weekwork contract within just a few days of my start date. There are plenty of hotels there, each with traditional hotel rates. When Elvin told me what my extended stay price was, I said yes...quickly. Upon arrival, there...

I could not be happier. I stayed at the Laughlin Street apartment (no. 1) for 12 weeks from May to August 2014 while working as an intern at ERDC. Elvin keeps everything in top-notch condition, and is always easy to reach with questions. He is also very friendly. The kitchen was well-equipped, and I didn't have any problems with any...

We were passing through Vicksburg and wanted to stay in an older style B&B. We chose McNutt House based on its location, and amenities. We were greeted on arrival and given a tour of the house. We were told a little about the history and given a run down of the room we had booked. We really enjoyed our stay....

We found the McNutt House to be very comfortable, and it's proprietor Elvin to be very helpful and welcoming. He even gave us a lecture about the history of the home. McNutt is rather good value compared to some other B and Bs in Vickburg and is well located - about five minutes' drive from and the riverfront town centre....

I would strongly recommend the McNutt House to anyone. I am a 21 year old college student from Ohio, and I stayed at the Magill House during an internship. The place felt like home. The location was very convenient, and Elvin and Pam were always available for any questions or needs. No problems with A/C, shower, sink, toilet, fridge, etc....

The building needed to be sprayed for wasps , my girl friend got stung by a nest that was just above the entrance door frame. Also the bed was really old and in very poor shape, and no breakfast. Location was great.

“I recommend the Governor's Suite - tho it depends on your needs and preferences. It's all dated but very clean. Three spacious decks with appealing landscaping enhance some nice 'resting' time.”
