There hasn’t been as much riverboat excitement on the Mississippi River since the nineteenth century, when these waters were crowded with these picturesque vessels. Ameristar’s 70,000 square-foot riverboat casino has brought nonstop action to Vicksburg, including almost 1,000 of the latest and most popular slot machines, 24 table games across two floors, a five-table poker room and variety of exquisite dining options.
Very bad experience in that half the casino was blocked off, the escalators were out and there was only a few machines working. Could not play what I wanted because people were sitting on the machines that weren't blocked.

Very misleading, I thought the hotel was right next to the casino, but it is across the street and down the hill so not really walkable. The buffet was horrible, we went at 6pm and the food tasted like it had been out since noon. I should have realized the buffet wasn’t good when there wasn’t anyone in line or anyone seated. All the workers were just sitting around on break, but did get up to refill our drinks a few times. The casino was very disappointing there seemed liked there were a lot of machines that were out of service. The bakery was disappointing also everything we wanted they didn’t have, ice cream, beer, stuff that was on the menu. The water in the shower at the hotel was so hard it hurt at the touch of the skin. The towel bar wasn’t close to the shower which…

This Hotel is very outdated, not clean. Hot tub non working, pool filthy. We stayed here because they used to shuttle to Casino they don’t anymore! Waste of money! The staff seems to not care. No free breakfast. We got a 20% coupon for one of the 3 restaurant’s at Ameristar we ate at Bourbon’s which used to be one of our favorites. I got the shrimp/crab linguine hubby got the fish it was raw sent it back and wasn’t replaced! So we shared mine. Never again! We absolutely love the Bottleneck Blues Bar! Great bands and video poker we left with money!

The service is wonder, it’s the revenue return that needs being addressed. The cleaniness is fair and the food offer and option are average. The outside painting could use upgrading, but the pay returns could be better

I didn’t like that the hotel is not attached to the casino. There are other casino hotels in the area that are, so that was a bit inconvenient. They are pretty strict about check in times so please call if you will be checking in after 9pm. The staff was friendly, and for the most part the room was clean; however fine details are overlooked. For example, the lampshades were extremely dirty and dusty and had spots on them. That was unpleasant to look at.

I didn’t win a dime but the dealers was sweet and I enjoyed my hotel stay. I give my whole stay a 9/10. I didn’t see Mississippi Stud and that’s what I wanted to play but I enjoyed & will be back soon

The staff was super friendly. The casino was clean and very attentive. If your in the area make sure to go by you will not be disappointed. The slot machines are new and updated. But they still have some of the older ones as well.
