I don't understand how the reviews can be so diametrically different. I almost passed on booking for Valentine's Day, because of the bad reviews but I decided to take a chance. I booked cottage #29 and true to the reviews, you could hear everything that went on in the adjacent cottage #32, and the heat was cranky, and the floor...

Service is as good that at 5 star hotel; staff was extremely nice and helpful; food is excellent and generous in portion. The house is beautiful. The rooms are large and very elegant. However, I agree with another reviewer, our room was also disgustingly dirty and for that reason alone, we'll not stay here again. There was years of soap...

Whenever I am in Vicksburg, I stay at Cedar Grove Mansion. I usually stay in the Carriage House because it is very quaint and quiet. I love the stories behind the old house...from the story of the son who was shot by the big tree in the back to the cannon ball in the wall to the rumors that the...

Receptionist was unfriendly upon arriving. Room was disgustingly dirty. My husband and I would not shower in the shower; it was that bad. There was a roach in a corner and I wrote "clean me" with my finger on the dust-covered mirror in the bedroom. The food was gross. We checked out early. Never again.

We have stayed at Cedar Grove twice. The first time was almost 20 years ago on our wedding night. The second time was last month with our two children. We really enjoyed it both times. I was nervous about bringing children since I normally think of a bed and breakfast as more of a romantic getaway, but they were very...

We arrived to Cedar Grove Manison to find a very sweet young lady at the desk. We stayed in the Carriage House and loved it, very private and very comfortable. They have a wonderful restaurant in the main house where you can dine lunch and dinner. The breakfast was great, Will be returning soon!!

This is a beautiful restored antebellum era home. It is a step back in time to a more elegant era. Bear in mind, it's an old home, so it won't have all the comforts of a newer luxury hotel, but it is worth it if you love history and want to experience the charm of a past era. The grounds...

We spent the weekend at Cedar Grove. Our room, the Grant room, was awesome. It has some of the original furnishings. We were impressed with the Mallard bed - it was beautiful. There were also some chairs in the room that were original. They were neat to look at but we wouldn't sit on them because they were fragile. We...

We returned to this Inn for the second time with our three small children. This bed and breakfast would be good for you if you want to experience the feel of a little bit of history and the old south. The rooms are nice and clean. Granted, they are probably in need of upgrading. This is not The Hilton Hotel;...

We were travelling from Texas to Georgia shortly after my husband got home from Afghanistan around September 2011 (which wasn't an option on the drop down menu for this review for some reason, but I had to select one of the drop down dates to submit the review). We wanted it to be a leisurely trip, and he loves old...
