On our babymoon, this was one of the few places that had rooms. It was my favorite spot that we stayed in Yellowstone. Adorable little cabins with shared bathrooms were very affordable, clean, and cozy. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in Lamar Valley, this is a great spot to be, and we were able to...

Years ago, we ate at the Roosevelt lodge and loved their BBQ ribs so when visiting again in the summer of 2016, we ordered ribs. They were just as good as we remembered them being so we ended up eating them there twice while visiting Yellowstone. We will be back again this summer and plan to eat more ribs. We...

I was so impressed with my 5 night stay at the Roosevelt Cabins! I had a small cabin, with one bed and no bathroom, and knew what I was walking into would be a little bit of roughing it. As long as you set your expectations you'll be very impressed. The Roosevelt cabins are clean and comfy. The log stove...

It just doesn't get any better than this... at least, not in a Roosevelt-area cabin. Closer to premium Lamar Valley wildlife viewing than any other YNP lodge, the majority of Roosevelt cabins are old and primitive, with no bathrooms and no electric heat. It was sheer luxury to stay in Roosevelt without rising every 2 hours throughout the night to...

We loved roughing it in a Roughrider cabin at Roosevelt Lodge. Having visited Yellowstone a few times I knew where it was but had not been in this corner of the park overnight before. It is certainly a different experience than the historic and crowded Old Faithful area, or the non-historic and crowded Canyon area. The rates at any of...

No cell phone coverage, no phone in room, no TV, no air conditioning you are in the wilderness and we loved it. Our cabin was small but It did have a bathroom with the sink in the bedroom. Service to our cabin was excellent; we asked for wine glasses and ice and they were delivered to our cabin within minutes,...

I have to admit that the cabins are very basic and, lacking insulation in late summer, you have a choice between hot days or chilly nights (They have stoves). The Roughrider Cabns are also shared bathrooms, which may make it seem more like camping, but requires you to walk at least a short distance - maybe in the middle of...

If you want to experience bare minimum, I mean just basic cabin experience, then you must stay here. In fact, I'd suggest if you're visiting YNP for few days, then plan to stay here for at least a night. All you've is a bed and alarm clock, and pellet burning fireplace to keep cabin warm. You'll have do all the...

The only reason that this accommodation exists is because it is in the park. The cabins are small with sink in the bedroom and shower/toilet in the very small bathroom. The heater, which runs on LP gas was very noisy and cycled on and off in a manner that killed any hope of stage 4 sleep. The cabins are situated...

Yellowstone is a wild place, we travel there to enjoy natural wonder and beauty - but a good bed, shower and meal can't be over-rated. We rate the places we stayed as: 5) Old Faithful, 4) Lake, 2) Canyon, 3) Mammoth and 1) Roosevelt which correspond generally to the size of the crowds and quality of services. Mammoth and Roosevelt...
