With the Mammoth Hotel under renovation this summer, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was great and probably less crowded than usual. Our little cabin was one with a bathroom. It is a tiny bathroom, but clean, functional and charming. The Mammoth Dining room was our favorite in Yellowstone (we also ate at all the Old Faithful area...

The view was awesome as the day was cleared. The colors are extraordinarily beautiful and you need to walk around the entire perimeter. Stay hydrated whether it's morning or evening, spring, summer or fall. This is as good 😊 if not better than old faithful! Must see!!

The cabin was clean, cute and just right, BUT, WHY NO IN ROOM COFFEE? The cabins at Old Faithful Snow Lodge and at Lake Village all have small Keurig coffee machines in the cabins. In our group of 12 adults who left each morning at 5:50 AM with a naturalist for a day in the field, ALL OF US WERE...

We had a fantastic 5 day get-away in a Mammoth Hot Springs cabin. All the amenities of a hotel room in a cabin. The cabin was clean, had comfortable beds, was guiet, and gave us privacy. We could walk to meals and the gift shop. Elk and bison were always in view. The scenery is gorgeous. We did not have...

This is the perfect location from which to explore Mammoth Hot Springs and Lamar Valley at Yellowstone. We stayed in the cabins because the hotel is being renovated. They are small and a little noisy because they were built a LONG time ago, but the location is great. No TV - so bring a book (which I prefer). The dining...

We stayed at a rustic cabin . Rustic but it had a private bathroom and great beds fully made up and ready for a good nights sleep. Would recommend although for $200 a night wifi should be free! It is a great area to explore

Stayed with friends in the cabins. Accommodations were cute, rustic, clean and comfortable. Location was central to many great park locations. Food and service in the main hotel was ok, we were early in the season, so they were probably just getting started. We did the Spring Wolf & Bear program with Yellowstone Forever, and it was excellent! You need...

Staying at this hotel brings with it the benefit of being in the park and right next to Mammoth Hot Springs, and so for that it is worth staying here. We got the impression, though, that the management recognises this and therefore makes very little effort. We stayed in a cabin which was fine but basic and it got very...

I stayed at the Frontier cabins. I liked being inside the park and the cabins were really cute. Each one had a front porch and it was fun to sit out there and see a bison walk by in front of you. You won't get that in Gardiner. The insides are clean and well appointed. However, they are TINY! I...

The Mammoth Hotel is closed this year (2017) for a complete restoration that will undoubtably make Mammoth a more memorable experience than ever before. But in the absence of the hotel, my wife and I booked a very early season stay in the Mammoth Frontier Cabins. Th accommodations are rather spare and the quarters somewhat crowded. But overall it's hard...
