The buildings are a little out-dated and the walls are thin, but it's really all about the location. From our balcony we looked out on Yosemite Falls. The room was clean. Everyone was really friendly and I recommend this place again and again.
Love this place! Basic, but comfortable and right in the center of the Valley. Very difficult to reserve for summer dates - must book one year in advance (exactly!). Fantastic location and views of the Falls, Mountain Room Lounge and Restaurant are our favorite places...More

Words cannot describe the sheer magnificance of the view, totally breathtaking. The accommodation was okay, if you're expecting 5 star luxury, you'll be dissapointed, if you want somewhere comfortable and clean to rest after a beautiful day by the falls then this is for you....More

We travelled in August, and one of our group has asthma. no problems at all. although there were fans in the room, we really didn't need them- it was never really hot and humid, and the room itself was nice and shady. there is aircon in the food court, bar and restaurant, so its really quite cold there (bring a jacket/sweater). the only thing you might want to check up on is wild fires- sometimes the air would get a little Smokey in areas close to wildfires, so you might want to avoid walking or hiking close to those areas if that is a problem (wasn't for us...). there are lots of rangers around to help in the route selection though, and yosemite is huge, so it should be fine.
