We have stayed at the Ahwahnee Hotel before, but this trip was special. We had our wedding reception there 50 years ago. The cottages are most expensive, feel spacious, but A/C a little noisy. Best just to open windows and smell the forest air.

Greetings trlwade, Thank you so very much for spending your 50th anniversary with us. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. The duplex cottages do afford more of a buffer to next door noise as the bathroom and closet areas butt up to each other rather than the sleeping rooms. Thank you for that room tip. Don't be strangers;...

We chose the Ahwahnee, knowing it would not be inexpensive, but would be a special occasion for us. We were given beautiful room with views of Yosemite Falls out the window. Yes the hotel is "not new", but everything was comfy, food and drinks were terrific, and getting around so easy. Free wifi was spotty, but it's not a place...

Certainly a classic hotel in a wonderful location. The pool was nice and hardly used despite the near 100 degree temperature when we visited. Central location, with shuttle bus access to most of the Valley sites. $41 per person special tour bus to Glacier Point - we drove late in the day to miss the tour bus crowds (about an...

This is a review of standard cottage room number 721 at the Ahwahnee, not of a hotel room. This was our fourth visit to Yosemite and we have previously stayed very happily at Yosemite Lodge at The Falls. On this occasion we thought it would be a great idea to try the Ahwahnee and loved the idea of staying in...

Good afternoon Lesley S Thank you for taking the time to post your review of your stay in one of our Standard Cottages. I am so very sorry that we let you down especially after staying at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls during your past trips and then wanting to experience The Ahwahnee. Parking is definitely limited at The Ahwahnee....

This lodge reminds me of Yellowstone, The red carpet, the old light fixtures, they have a lovely area where you can sit outside and have a drink. Very clean with a beautiful lobby. Private party room and a very nice gift shop with high quality items. Also a swimming pool. It was pretty hot when we were there and traffic...

We live relatively close to Yosemite and visit often. The Ahwahnee hotel is amazing. We spent a couple of nights a few years ago, just so we could say we did. Other than the rooms themselves all of the rest of the hotel is available to people staying anywhere in the park. Have a drink on the patio or lunch/dinner...

Amazing place, historical hotel, which might lack some of the features desired from a four star hotel, but makes it up completely by location. Driving into the hotel you're surrounded by incredible sights and beauty. Once at the hotel you'll have a great place to rest and recharge your batteries. Early morning walks and fine dining in the evening. Booked...

My wife and I loved our stay here...you cannot beat the surroundings!! Sue and Lana at the Concierge desk provided exceptional service...way above average!!! The food in the restaurants was also excellent not to mention the beauty and grandeur of the setting.

Good afternoon David M Thank you for taking the time to post your five star review. I am happy to read that you loved your stay with us. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to Lonna and Sue at the Concierge Desk; they are wonderful representatives of Yosemite and The Ahwahnee. All the best, Brett Archer,...

We've stayed at the Ahwahnee Hotel several times, and each stay has been perfect. We've stayed in both the main hotel and the cottages, which are located down a short path into the woods, so you instantly fell part of nature. Great luxury bedding. The dining room is the best of any national park lodge, with a spectacular view of...

This is an absolutely outstanding example of an old National Park hotel. The architecture is superb and beautifully furnished. Most modern facilities are available but unobtrusive. An outstanding dining room requires reservations. The food and service are excellent and you may see a deer or two walking by outside. The bar serves good food and is well worth a visit...
