Love the whole look and feel of the place, as well as the stunning scenery. This was ourcsecond visit and we are already planning our return. Book ahead if you want evening dinner - the dining room is often fully booked.
The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very nice but the hotel is in dire need of a renovation and I expected more for over $500 per night. I booked in October for an August stay and felt lucky to even get a room...More
The Ahwahnee is this "high price" hotel in Yosemite Valley, and as such has what are probably the best views--Half Dome and the huge lawn in the back of the property are two--of any of the hotels in the Park.
The rooms are fairly plain--but...More
Wonderful experience worthy of a significant investment for a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms are old, consistent with the hotels age and location, but well kept, large and comfortable. The weak point would be the restaurant...More
Our rooms (and sitting room) faced half dome and Glacier Peak...spectacular place to have room service breakfast and a glass of wine at night.
We loved tea time cookies and tea in the afternoon and the coffee and tea bar in the morning.

Good morning fortune_i,
We have a wash, dry, and fold service here at the hotel; the cost of that is $25 per load. There are coin operated washers and dryers at Housekeeping Camp which is located about a two mile drive from the hotel. I will say that traffic can be very challenging getting to and from there during the summer months so I recommend if you are going to utilize Housekeeping Camp for your laundry that you do it before 9:00 a.m. in the mornings.
All the best,
Brett Archer, General Manager

Yes all rooms are air-conditioned in Majestic Hotel since the temperature in the Valley floor where this hotel is, can reach up to 100 degrees F in summer. We stayed there last summer, and when we checked-in at mid-afternoon, our Half-Dome view room (paid slightly extra for the view-room was a standard room with a King-bed), was nice and cool upon entering. The housekeeping left the room dark with window-blinds closed and A/c set at cool temperature. No worries, you'll be fine. I would still recommend informing the reception desk that you're traveling with an infant. They might take extra precaution and even get you an upgraded room or a room on a cooler-side of their building. I would request for a table-fan as well. Our room was not on the top-floor, hence the ceiling was low with no ceiling fan, but A/c worked and was good enough. Joe is right, they are big in customer service.
