I was raised in the central valley, the town of Ceres, so I frequented this area alot. I first went to the area when I was a kid in boy scouts and then as an adult when i got married. We took our own tent, and were a little late getting there so it was dark upon arrival. I found... More

This was our first time in Yosemite with our teens, and we wanted to be in the park — not roughing it on the ground, but not living in luxury hotel either. The tent-cabins of Tuolumne Meadows Lodge (TML) seemed like a good choice. Location was a major factor since we wanted to do many of the high country hikes... More

The name Tuolumne Meadows Lodge might easily conjure up visions of a rustic (but luxurious), log-cabin style lodge with a huge stone fireplace and a grand dining room filled with exquisite wooden décor. Maybe like one of those lodges built by the CCC back in the 1930s that are found in so many national parks… That’s, ah, not quite what... More

It's Tuolumne Meadows, need I say more?????? We climbed Lembert Dome. We hiked around Olmstead Point. We sat near the cascade and played Scrabble. We had cocktail our every night by the river. We sat by the huge campfire by the main lodge and meet some real nice people from all over.

We lucked in to an end-of-season vacancy at this tent-cabin lodge in the Yosemite high country. Not a motel, or fancy lodge, this place offers platform tents with wood stoves, and a nearby shower building. There's a tent-style dining hall with hearty meals served more-or-less family style. For us it was an enjoyable to transition back into civilization after days... More

Toulumne Meadows Lodge offers a very special experience. It's a great place to stay and take a variety of day hikes, or to begin a trek. It's a bit of luxury in the wild, in that you get wonderful food, a warm fire at night, hot showers, and good company. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Tuolumne Meadows lodge for two nights. On approach to the site we were slightly nervous as we had done very little research so didn't know what to expect. It turned out perfect. We had a great spot and it felt like true camping. We had a van but no hook up. Each spot had a camp... More

I stayed at the lodge in late september when it was quite cold. I loved that my cabin had a wood stove which was already stocked with wood and kindling. I got it going, and it kept us warm all night. The bed was nice, the tent sparse so don't expect luxury. However it is really good considering the only... More

Tent 66. September. Some rain overnight (yea!). Rustic tent-camping - but the stove in the tent keeps everything warm. Couple at our dinner table celebrating 30th anniversary by sharing champagne with all 8 of us.

I stayed at Tuolumne Meadows Lodge the day before heading out on a backpacking trip in the wilderness section of Yosemite. Great to have a hot shower and comfortable bed for a good night sleep and heading out. It was a cold rainy night when I was there; the bedding was warm, the showers were hot, the staff was friendly... More
