I went labor day weekend and it was our first time visiting. First off the front office staff especially Lorena is so rude. She has thee worst customer service skills. It seemed like she was angry that we were checking in. I work customer service and i would have been fired if anyone treated one of our customers the way she treated us. After getting a call that our spot was ready We drove to our location and I was shocked at the condition of our spot!! why is check in at 5pm when they don't clean it before the next guests arrive. I wish I had taken pictures but I was just in awe at what i had paid 345 for 3 nights. The top was sunk in and filthy the curtains had about 3 different sized hangers on each side and wouldn't close all the way. Thank goodness I brought extra tarps to cover for privacy or I wouldn't have had any. The table they provide was filthy and I don't want to talk about how dirty the floors were. I am happy I brought my own cleaning supplies that I was able to disinfect and clean as much as I could. I will say the ONLY positive things I can say about this place is that the bathrooms were constantly being stocked with toilet paper and toilet seat covers. They didn't clean them but they stocked at all times. This place was just very, very dirty and location looks NOTHING like the picture in their website. Overpriced for what you get.

Property's Favourite Review
We recently had a group staying at the Housekeeping Campsite. It was wonderful. We had a site that was facing the river beach and the Yosemite Falls. Could not have asked for a nicer setting. Just want to give a huge shout out to our camp host Patrick. He was awesome!!!! Made sure that we were following all the rules but in such a nice and friendly manner. He was , really, one of the highlights of our stay. Please make sure he knows!!! Thank you, Yosemite.....you never fail!

This was our fourth stay at Housekeeping Camp. The location is excellent. We like the option of cooking our own food. Not pitching a tent is a plus, too. I always struggle a bit with the noise level in the evenings. Loud music and lots of yelling. Not peaceful for sure. The pluses out weigh the minuses so I’m sure we’ll return.

This is the in-between for serious campers and mild campers. Bring your own sheets and sleeping bags to put on the provided bed and bunk bed. Bring your own cooking supplies. For a non-tent campsite it’s great to be able to cook and have a campfire. It’s not luxurious but that’s not the point. It’s the location - inside and on The Valley floor. They have shower facilities and I’d argue with limited capacity due to covid it was nicer with less crowds.

I’ve been patronizing Housekeeping Camp since the 1960s. I love spending time in Yosemite. Unfortunately, Aramark is not doing a good job in keeping this lodging in satisfactory condition. The canvases are filthy and dilapidated. The paint is peeling off in large chunks on the interior walls. Half of the cabins are closed off due to ‘covid,’ yet the campers are crammed together into half the bathrooms. They defeat their own covid protocols by not keeping all the bathrooms open. Considering it is over $120 a night to stay there, the least Aramark could do is upgrade and maintain the cabins. The best part was that the showers were only open n to registered guests. That really cut down on the shower lines. But what was up with keeping the laundromat closed?
