We stayed 2 nights there and I loved every bit of it! We spent every night next to the campfire grilling our delicious food. It was really peaceful, each campsite is quite big. We were able to put 3 tents and we still had plenty of space to put another 2.

our family has been going to Yosemite since 1966 - we have stayed in the valley from everything to include housekeeping camp to the curry village tent cabins and tents. This past week we spent time at site 184 Upper Pines in a combination of tents and a RV rented from Metro in Burbank, California. The trip with five grandkids...

Wonderful camp, Do your homework and book in advance!! We got lucky and a site came open. The camp is very conveniently located, close to Curry - now Half Dome village for showers and food. You can walk through most of the valley from this camp. This means you can fight the traffic to get there, then just leave your...

We stayed one night in upper pines. It was enough. This was the worst campground of all the national park park we did this summer (more than 20 campground). There were trash everywhere, no privacy at all, the campsite are way too close to each other, so close that you have to go through campsite to go to the restroom....

We were lucky enough to get a space on the valley floor, our first time in a motor home and the first night under the stars at Yosemite. Absolutely magical. The site was in great condition, seems to be well managed, toilets always clean and useable, some posts say too many people on it but we didn't find that, the...

We LOVE all the PINES campground in Yosemite Valley. It is very hard to get a spot here, but worth it if you do. Upper pines is the closest to the trailhead Happy Isles, Vernal/Nevada Falls and Half Dome. My husband and I were here for our anniversary and completed the Half Dome hike. It was an amazing experience. We...

Had a tons of fun camping two nights on this site. Centrally located and have access to many restrooms. Enjoyed doing bbq...don't forget firewood! You have to check out at 12:00 but can park just outside the campground and still go out on trail for enjoy the day before you hit the road for home.

This campground is located directly in the heart of Yosemite, which makes for unbeatable location. So close to every trail and Yosemite village. That being said, the campground gets pretty crowded, the camping spots are small and there is absolutely no privacy. The bathrooms are dirty and gross. No showers. Also you need to book months in advance in order...

I had to be online at the exact moment registration opened in order to reserve my spot #139 but the effort was worthwhile. Because Yosemite doesn't seem to restrict the number of tents per spot, some groups had up to six shelters crowded together (and encroaching upon neighboring pads). However, the spaces on the outside of the loop backed to...

Stayed for couple nights. Yosemite is beautiful at this time. Campground was not crowded in the middle of week. Our site #15 was big. Probably, it had less shadow than other sites. Neighbors were quiet. View is nice. Close to the shuttle stops 16 and 19.
