Fun place to stay if you don't mind communal restrooms. Very clean. We loved the bath robes which were provided. The romance of the place comes from it's historic background. Excellent continental breakfast. Be prepared for a large bill at dinner.

Well maintained older hotel. Has an outdoor pool but it as too cold to use. Store/gift shop in walking distance. No T.V. in the room. Wifi in the sun room only. Historic buildings on the property. Right by the river.

Charming, very comfortable rooms. Lovely setting. It is a bit of a drive to get in and out of Yosemite Valley so don't get caught after dark on twisty mountain road. Very convenient to Mariposa Grove.

This hotel is a classic consisting of several buildings each with its own charm. The decor is well done and kept up in excellent condition. The commercial n areas are beautiful and the dining room is well run. Dinner was very enjoyable, however the menu was not as broad as I would have liked. My two choices were quite good....

I would recommend Wawona as a place for anyone who wants to just relax, be close enough to Yosemite Valley, but at the same time be away from the crowds...It is about a 25 minute very scenic drive into the Valley. The prices are very good (compared to the other Park accommodations) .The pictures of the place don't do it...

This place was really beautiful! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the food was good. The only 2 negative or improvements i would have are the rooms are not well insulated so you can hear EVERYTHING! this really effected myself as im a light sleeper. The other frustrating thing is not all rooms come...

The Wawona is a national treasure and staying there was a privilege. The grounds were immaculate and sitting in a garden chair in the sun was a joy. The restaurant served a fine fare and the staff were attentive. The front desk staff, especially Robyn, were second to none. She even made hard-to-get dinner reservations for us at the Ahwahnee...

We stayed in the annex, which was built around 1918. Lovely old furnishings, claw foot tub, even old fashioned push button electric lights. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean, with plenty of hot water; We had the end room (109) and our porch area with 2 Adirondack chairs was very private and pleasant. Visited in May...

"Authenticity" and "history" are indeed the two words that come to up to mind about this hotel. When you stay there, you feel there is an heritage that was preserved over the years. The hotel has a lot of charm, its location is perfect to explore the giant Sequoias nearby and the Yosemite park and Merced river. Do not expect...

I love the Wawona, it's a historic landmark in a Yosemite National Park. How can you find a better location? We always enjoy our stay there. Rooms are comfy. The food is good and the nightly old fashion musical entertainment is always a treat.
