Before you even consider coming here, keep in mind that Wakatobi is designed for scuba divers (and maybe snorkelers). Unless you love the underwater world, there is not much to do there. having said that, it is the smoothest scuba operation I have experienced with...More
My wife and I travelled here for a few days as part of our wedding anniversary tour of Indonesia and it was a beautiful way to end our holiday. The service from landing at the private air strip to leaving was easily 6 out of...More
Wakatobi Dive Resort is not “just a dive resort.” It is a rustically elegant resort that offers very good accommodations and food, excellent service (and great diving, I’m sure, based on the reactions of the divers staying there, many of whom were repeat customers) and...More
We did 11 nights at Wakatobi this time. Stayed in Villa 1.

This is the best Dive Resort I have been to. We were booked to go to Ahmed in East Bali but the volcano had other ideas. This turned out to be good fortune for us.

Dear Madeline, your question is quite strange for me as I live in Europe and we have a different system about tips. When you book your trip to wakatobi you pay an all inclusive plan: all meals and dive packages. Just beverages are excluded. When you check out, they provide you an envelope for tips that are equally distributed. The percentage is up to you. I hope this answers your question. 😁

Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, Wakatobi is very snorkel friendly. In addition to our amazing House Reef, which is just steps from your bungalow or villa, the reefs surrounding the resort are ideal for snorkelers, as coral formations at a majority of our sites rise to within a meter or less of the surface. Our boats go out to these sites, snorkelers are included on the boat excursions and have a snorkel guide, who provides a comprehensive briefing of the site and accompanies you in the water to assist, show you marine life, whatever are your wishes.
If you would like our guest relations team to answer additional questions and provide information, please inquire on our website - click on the link at the bottom titled: Enquiry and Booking. Of course, there is no obligation, we are here to help.
There are also some great snorkeling articles on our blog, which can also be accessed from our website. Click on Blog at the top right.
If I can be of further assistance, please ask.
We hope to see you at Wakatobi in the future!
