My husband and I are 18 months in to a 20 month army posting in Kenya and Il Ngwesi has been on our 'bucket list' for most of that time. It came highly recommended by several of our friends and did not disappoint. Once we arrived at the lodge we discovered we were the only guests and were treated like...

Great place to visit with even better hospitality. This is truly the most unique place that we've ever stayed. To open air rooms overlook a watering hole wear you can see elephants forage from your balcony. Some of the room allow you to sleep out under the stars with a mosquito net to protect you. But as cool as the...

I cannot say enough positive things about my 4 night/5 day stay at Il Ng'wesi. The lodge itself was excellent. While it is not extravagant, this gives it its charm. Importantly, the place is very clean, the meals are well-balanced, and the activities are excellent. The lodge is designed and built in a way that helps it blend in perfectly...

Everything is right about this place. The rooms are simply amazing and nothing can compare to the open air rooms that make you feel that the night time wildlife is in your room....elephants, lions, hyenas.... The food and service is wonderful. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and knowledgeable about the area since it is their own community. The pool...

This hotel, while a little off the beaten path is an absolute gem. The rooms were some of the coolest that I have ever stayed in. The outdoor showers were such a treat the outlook from our room was one of the best views I have ever seen in my life. I saw a lioness and her three Cubs while...

wonderful stay in heaven. One of the nicest ecolodge i have visited. room with no windows and stunning view are unforgetable. Food was excellent and walking safaris were very enjoyable. All was lead by our local ngwesi guide James who had a very brittish sense of humor. my only deception was the lack of density in the wildlife, even thought...

Our group stayed at Il Ngwesi in March for several nights and absolutely loved it! James and Marcus, David, too, were so accommodating and kind. One of those days was my birthday and they made such a celebration! And even a birthday cake! The views from the rooms were magic.....the herd of elephants with babies wandered all around, heard them...

Il Ngwesi is located in a beautiful spot not far from the Lewa wildlife conservancy. The landscape is stunning with view of close-by hills, vast plains and the Samburu mountains in the horizon. The ground staff in the lodge is friendly and polite, and the guides service-oriented. It is a beautiful place to relax. The animal density in Il Ngwesi...
