Nkwichi is simply the best romantic get away my wife and I had.You cannot beat the setting in wilderness with its fine white sand beach and the sound of surfs. You can watch monkeys parade by, sitting on your front porch, a reminder you are...More
The most remote spot we've ever been to and yet we were looked after Royally! We enjoyed walking to the villages, seeing how Africa works in quiet serenity, exercising with hikes to the view site and canoeing on Lake Malawi The staff were amazing.
My husband and I spent a few days of our honeymoon at Nkwichi in early January and as time passes I can't believe what an incredibly magical experience we had there. The starbed, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the food and beautifully creative table settings...More

The star bed location can be either on a rocky outcrop on the lake, atop a viewpoint overlooking the lake or on a private beach. The closest village to Nkwichi is around a 40 minute walk away, so there are not many people close to the lodge, and the star bed locations are not located near the footpaths to the village, so it is unlikely that you will encounter anyone on your experience. There are animals around, but there is no need for them to come near to you. We also do leave our guests with radios (just in case of any emergencies), and we have not had to use them yet .... I hope this answers your questions?
