Not sure what's going on here, but it's prob not completely kosher! Stayed here one night and turned up unannounced. No other guests, lobby a mess, 8 blokes drinking Johnny Walker Blue label. Asked for a room and rate. Much confusion and shown a room that was huge with mismatched bedding, creaky floors and filthy bathroom. Quite frankly it was...

Driving round in Phonsavan looking for a room we saw these appartments on top of a hill. Arriving on the top you first come across a restaurant and they told us to drive further up the hill (This was the breakfast room) Arriving on top a friendly young guy showed us the appartment which looked good. Spacious room with a...

Wow, this place is amazing. Could be something really special win stunning views etc but it is cold and friendless. Almost no one there to help guests and try speaking English..no tuk tuk service from town after about 9pm when Phonsavan totally closes down. Fortunately we got the owner of the local cafe to arrange a car for us. Going...

We had a few day stay at this hotel while traveling in Xieng Khoung. The rooms are overlooking the endless beauty of Phonsavanh town. Oh boy, how amazing view it was. I took morning jog up and down the hill and the air was so naturally fresh. The best bits here are the nice cozy rooms. It's a mixture between...

I'm not sure if the resort has recently changed hands or what.... The staff seemed to be living in the " lobby ". They are friendly & try to be helpful. The guest houses were not clean at check in & appear to have a termite issue. The view is fantastic however. Skip the breakfast in the restaurant. It seems...

When you arrive here and look at the views and semi detached rooms it seems you've done well. However, things went downhill a little. On arrival we were not welcomed. The hotel seemed to be run by two youths who accessed reception via a window. They did not speak any English. On attempting to get a hairdrier for my wife-...

The hotel is a long way from town. There is no restaurant and so we had to rely on lifts from the manager to town or go without food! The breakfast consisted of 2 greasy eggs and some dried up toast. The butter was outdated by 6 weeks. We did manage to obtain a beer in the room via the...

Very far from town, kind of isolated but with a very good view. Actually we were the only group on this hotel. Wifi exists certain period of time, staff doesn't speak English and breakfast is practically nothing. Prefer a hotel located on the town.

Basil Fawlty has retired here. The hilltop site is lovely and the bungalows are large and beautifully furnished. The promised shuttle bus to town did not exist, nor the breakfast, nor food in the restaurant on site. The toilet did not flush in one room, the keys did not work properly in another room, and the batteries in the remotes...

This hotel is good value for money with large rooms and great king sized beds. Yes it is of 5-10 minutes walk from the 'tourist' bars and restaurants on the main road but this a plus as the hotel is nice and quiet. All in all a good place to stay if you want more than a guesthouse can offer.
