We had a great stay at the camp. it is a rustic place but clearly delivers on the ' far from the maddening crowd' experience. Mili makes the experience so much richer with his passion for wild life and knowledge of the birds / animals and stars... The camp is very well organised, the people are REALLY friendly and go...

Amazing Experaince We stayed at the Wild Trails for three days and its everything and more than what we expected, the camp is based in the jungle just encroaching the Yalla National Park boundary. In the evening there is a lone Elephant that comes to drink water just outside the camp's electric fence. First day, we hired the camp's Safari...

Safe, secure and very clean tents. Very helpful friendly staff. I dont mind it's location a little outside away from the national park. It was perfect with my 3 year old. We were the only customers during our stay but I highly recommend them. The food was served with the bonfire set and we loved the food the young chef...

Danu the naturalist did the most wonderful walking safari followed by a brilliant morning with no less than eleven elephants, plus crocodiles and incredible birds. Danu was a wonderful guide, able to answer any and all questions. The food was exceptional and we loved our cold beer at the campfire. Cannot wait to go back.

A tented camp consisting of 4 large tents in the middle of nowhere. That's what is it's all about. All fine if that's what you're looking for, but don't expect much more. Its not so close to Yala Park as many of the other resorts, the camp is relatively basic, the food is just really not good and it doesn't...

The location of the property and the quality of the tents is great, but the overall experience was quite bad. We had taken 2 tents at the camp and were offered a few things on arrival. The wake up call never materialised for both days as the staff dint wake up themselves and hence no morning tea/coffee as was promised....

After more than 4 hours driving from Nuwara Eliya to Yala, we arrived to Wild Trails Camp. The tent is very confortable, very spacious and with everything you need to spend a night in the "jungle". Do not forget this is a Camp, shower is cold water but you find it very good!!! The 3 hours Safari is good and...

Stayed at Wild Trails for two nights in December 2015 and I'd highly recommend Wild Trails for a trip to Yala. The tent itself was very nice, spacious and clean. In spite of being a safari tent, it was actually the most spacious accommodation I had while in Sri Lanka. The tent did get quite hot during the Sri Lankan...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A visit to Sri Lanka is never complete without a tour to a wild life sanctuary. Out of the many wild life parks it has to offer its visitors, Yala National Park situated in the deep south of the island is a must visit. Abundant with wildlife, where the majestic Sri Lankan elephant still reigns supreme and the ever elusive leopard, in its graceful elegance, tip toes its way to a hunt or to quench its thirst at its favourite water hole. Experience Sri Lanka’s big 5 from the corridors of their habitats and listen to the music of the birds on the canopy above, and hear the animal calls as you were among them, sharing their space. Yala is a park that has to be experienced from within.
