Yemaya Reefs is a rustic-chic boutique hotel on mystical Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. The island is in the Caribbean about 50 miles off the coast of Nicaragua, surrounded by pristine beaches, beautiful fringe reefs teeming with colorful tropical fish and crystal clear waters. Our cabanas are beach front with only powdery white sand between your cabaña suite and the sea. The snorkeling is breathtaking! Our restaurant features a fusion of local and Nicaraguan island cuisine with delicious flavors, featuring produce grown in our own garden, and seafood straight from the sea that surrounds us. Sway to the rhythm of the coco palms in a big comfy hammock, head out in one of our sea kayaks to explore the reef, or walk along the beaches and jungle trails to see the true beauty this unspoilt island paradise. Whatever you choose to do, your time at Yemaya Reefs will be unforgettable. Welcome to paradise!

From the super friendly and welcoming staff, incredible room, delicious food, and stunning stunning surroundings - Yemaya did not disappoint. The beaches were plentiful and the staff felt and treated myself and my friends like family. There is really nothing I can say negative about my experience - i truly felt relaxed and at home, except in fairytale style. I would recommend to all my friends and family to experience Yemaya on Little Corn any day. Such a wonderful experience. THANK YOU!

My stay at Yemaya was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. From the amazingly kind, informative, and attentive staff, to the phenomenal food, to the beautiful views, I would highly recommend visiting this tranquil and idyllic place. I was so sad for my visit to end and cannot wait to return. If you go, definitely get the lobster, the special pineapple maragarita invented by John and the fresh squeezed watermelon juice. Also Alex is the best and all of her suggestions on and off the island were wonderful. Also

The location of this property is beautiful and the people were mostly very pleasant. The rooms were really nice, spacious, air conditioned and clean. The food was quite delicious, albeit a bit pricey. We did have a few issues though that made me rate this as average. First, we rented a room with a plunge pool, unfortunately the lights in the pool were not working and we did not feel safe going in without them. When we asked to be moved to the room next door (which was empty) we were told no. Second, we asked for snorkel gear and were told they didn’t have enough for my group, there were 8 of us and they only had 1 snorkel. I was pretty upset about this and let them know that we wanted to snorkel as a family, they somehow found 6 more snorkels and 7 of us were able to go together. We asked for a kayak and they said they did not have any paddles, we then asked for a paddle board and it was really beat up, there was a metal piece sticking out and my daughter cut her leg in it. Two days later they had 2 new ones, but this was on our last day so we didn’t get to enjoy it much. The service at the restaurant wasn’t that great. We didn’t quite understand the menu and when we asked questions the waitress seemed annoyed. We later asked clarifying questions and it turned out we could have gotten more food such as fruit and bread, when I asked if we could get it we were told no because we didn’t initially order it. We rented two bicycles and they were not safe to ride so we needed to return them, not only did the gears skip but they were built incorrectly. The massages were heavenly and the weather was perfect to lounge.

We had a fantastic stay at Yemaya. The staff was extremely attentive and took every opportunity to provide excellent service and ensure that our needs were met. Our casita with the plunge pool (I do wish that it was heated) and sea view was postcard perfect. We had a few in our party with dietary restrictions and the chef took personal responsibility to prepare delicious meals to order for them. We are counting the days until we can return.

Our stay at Yemaya was overall excellent. The rooms are spacious, well kept, clean, visually pleasing, and come with air conditioning if you need it. The rooms face the ocean, which allows for stunning views and very welcomed breezes that can flow through your room all day. We chose the all-inclusive package (i.e. meals included) from Friday to Monday - it rained one of the days we were there, so we couldn't (chose not to) do much, but the other day was a great mix of water and walking. If you plan to eat all/most your meals at the resort, it is well worth it to get the meals-included option, though there are plenty of places to eat in the island's village if that's more your speed. The food was by and large stellar, though the chef and all staff had a pretty hard time accommodating our dietary needs. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times each day and still received food that we were unable to eat or that would have interfered with our food allergies. The chef and staff were extremely pleasant, but that was definitely a pain point for us. The resort has plenty of in-house activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and massage - unfortunately most of those activities are unavailable to us due to the weather and harsh water conditions (no fault to the resort of course). Bottom line, while getting to little corn/Yemaya is a bit arduous at times, it is 100% worth it. Highly recommend.
