Booked a table for Mothers Day, always recommend booking. Table available as soon as we arrived, staff as usual very friendly and helpful. Fantastic choice of food, would suit anyone. Had a brilliant meal, served well, not rushed despite the fact that they were very busy. I would recommend a visit to anyone. Fantastic puddings, if you've only a small...

Celebrated my 30th birthday here arriving Friday tea time and leaving Saturday. Truely fantastic, we stayed in a hottub room which was sensational. Smart, clean and lovely to be in. Hot tub was clean and easy to use.. Booked a table for 6, restaurant was busy but service excellent, food even better and pudding lovely. Staff are fantastic, location is...

I stay at the Tempest 5 or 6 times a year. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable both in the old hotel or the lodges to the side of the hotel. These rooms are larger and more modern. Wifi works and is free though mobile signals are awful particularly if you are a Vodafone user! The food in the...

A warm welcome and cake on arrival which is a good start. A nice room for the price but no heating on so chilly. Only a shower which is fine for me but worth checking if you prefer a bath. Flapjack and water in the room which was another nice touch. Despite being a bit out of the way well...

My wife booked this on the recommendation of a friend, a great choice! The room was like a small appartment with a hot tub outside overlooking the hills and the river that runs outside the hotel. The room is very well equiped with a large comfortable bed and seating area with tv and electric log burner. The hot tub is...

Booked for my husbands birthday after a number of recommendations. Arrived mid Sat afternoon, there was a wedding taking place and a calm buzz about the place. We'd booked one of two dog friendly rooms. The room was small but completely adequate for us, on the ground floor. We had a few drinks in the bar late afternoon by the...

What a lovely place to stay. from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The receptionist was very helpful when we enquired about upgrading our room after one night to one with a hot tub. We had two meals during our stay, excellent quality as were the breakfasts. All the little touches ie: free home made...

A super place for a short break. The rooms are warm and comfortable, the staff are friendly and the food is very good. Two of the rooms are dog friendly and our small dog was made to feel welcome too ! Skipton is close by and there are lots of interesting places to visit. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for business in February 2017. The pub is located just outside Skipton is a pretty, rural location. The welcome was very friendly and efficient. I think 2 minutes from arrival to room. The room I stayed in was clean, tidy, quiet and well decorated. The only tiny gripe I would have is that the shower cubicle is a...

Loved it here. Great food , friendly, helpful, courteous staff. Great choice of food at reasonable prices ( Bolton Abbey lamb hotpot was gorgeously filling on a cold wet day). We had a "basic" club room which is far from basic, comfy bed great sized room, lovely bathroom with power shower. Busy friendly atmosphere in bar and restaurant. Wonderful place,...
