I really love the staff at the Chill Pool Bar - Raniel, Hugh ,Vinessa, Romaine, Anthony, Kezena and kimesha. They are very friendly, efficient and hard working. They always make my time at the beach pleasant and welcoming.
Fair warning: lengthy but necessary. review. I had reservations about the hotel before selecting it due to the lack of diversity represented among the resort patrons on the website but as Marriot mint members, we selected it nevertheless. Approximately 50% of the resort guests were of minority descent, and the website should be reflective of that. First impression of the property: average, not grand in comparison to others I have visited, but clean in the common indoor and outdoor spaces. The design/ layout of the room was far from luxurious, but it was cleaned and well-maintained daily. I also noted that some small decorative pools (particularly the one outside of Taj), has peeling paint at the base, water was stagnant with algae and mosquito larvae visible. Those factors aside, I still gave this resort a rating of "excellent" and here is why. We were met by a pleasant and professional JUTA driver, Calvin, who transported us safely to and from the resort. Upon our arrival, Courteney and Oneil gave us a very warm welcome at the door. We were ushered into the Diamond mint lounge where we were entertained during our check-in process. Marissa and Ricordo ensured that the process was seamless. We were then introduced to our Butler - Tannisha, (affectionately known as my Bestie), but I'll come back to her in a minute. Staff members were all adherent to the COVID protocols, and reminders of safety protocols were frequent. Hand sanitizer dispensers were abundant around the property, and rarely were they empty. Kudos to the resort for creating a sense of safety in the midst of this pandemic. Now back to my Bestie; Tannisha. She was present in every moment that we shared with her, meticulously caring for us and going above and beyond with a smile. Dedicated to keeping us satisfied, she went above and beyond to meet requests that I am certain were out of her job description. We later met her partner - Lacey-Ann, who was also a pleasure to work with. They, along with Marissa, coordinated the birthday amenities and room decoration which were a very pleasant surprise upon our arrival. The entire staff from that point on was simply amazing! Not one encounter was unpleasant and that spoke volumes to me. From the lobby staff, dining room staff, the housekeepers, the beach attendants, the bar staff, restaurant staff, but most of all, the entertainment team! To acknowledge them all individually is impossible, but I am compelled to acknowledgment a few who deserve special accolades. To Shellion and Ricordo in the Diamond Mint lounge and hotel concierge, your individual renditions of Happy Birthday warmed our hearts, and I am still recommending you both for Rising Stars! Damion, Chivonne, Calisa - hotel front door and lobby staff - thank you. Shouts out to Sean (the dining room choirmaster), and the entire dining room choir - you guys were amazing! You ran up on me with that birthday song and you got me to dance, so that was a win! To the Zen staff: Ricardo (chef and Maestro), Latoya, Kadeen, Serica, Lamoy, you guys rocked every night. We were vibing with you even when we were dining at the Tex Mex restaurant (lol). To Sean and Steven at the Dips Pool Bar - you guys rock! To the beach attendants Pinky and Christi (aka Ras), your hard work to keep the beach clean throughout the day was noted and appreciated. Now to shout out my absolute favourite people... I'm getting teary-eyed again. To the entertainment team, the hardest working team on the property, YOU GUYS ARE SUPERSTARS!! I expressed to you before I left that you deserve so much more than the applause you get after every entertainment moment. Most visitors do not realize the work you guys put in daily to create memorable experiences for us. From your grueling schedules for rehearsals, set creation, equipment setup, set break down, property decoration and clean up, costume creation, etc etc etc. You guys miss meals, you sing and dance through the exhaustion and the pain, you took off the knee braces, gave us your all and smiled for us every single night. The demand of creating successful shows every single night was not lost on us, and your work ethic was definitely remarkable. I did not get the opportunity to meet you all as individuals, but I fell in love with you as a team. To those of you who I had the pleasure of getting to know just a bit, thank you for taking the time to engage me. Opheal, your heart as a leader shines. I saw the love and care you have for each team member and they are blessed to have you as a team member, a leader, and an advocate. To Odane and Renae, you two truly stole my heart. I met you at different moments but you both had the same effect. Odane, the world is your oyster. You are a superstar in the making! The depth and breadth of your talent are far from quantifiable, and I pray that I will be around to see your name in bright lights on the World's stage. Keep on pushing to master your craft. Dream big because your gift will make room for you! To my newly adopted daughter - Renae. You shine as a dancer, a performer, and as a lady. Your grace and poise set you apart, and I am excited to see your star shine brightly for the world to see. To Mr. Daniel Cezarin: Thank you for creating a space for the great people of Jamaica to show off the essence of the culture. You have an amazing team of people who go above and beyond daily to create memorable vacations for your guests. Take none of it for granted because they are the reason that the Royalton Blue Waters and White Sands have earned these five stars. I had an amazing time with them, and I cannot wait to come back! We had a blast in MoBay on our final summer vacation! Kerice and Jounior were the “Dream Team” Butlers, while enjoying Royalton Blue Waters. They made sure that we received a 5-Star experience at this new Marriott Bonvoy property. Yeah Mon!
We had our wedding at Royalton over 3 weeks ago. The cake looked nothing like the picture that we provided. When we requested a refund for the cake and the cake fondants, they took two weeks to offer us $50 for a two tier cake. After some back and forth, they offered $360 for the cake which still did not include the cost of the two tier cake. The cake visually was an absolute catastrophe. Calla lilies was what we requested on the invoice. The bouquet given was orchids and some other type of flowers. There was no communication that the flowers requested was no longer available despite the hotel having plenty of notice on what I wanted for my bouquet. Tai Flora is the exclusive vendor for Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay, Jamaica. My husband and I were told that we could not use another vendor for our wedding so we were forced to use Tai Flora for our special day. This floral shop failed to deliver on the wedding arch that my husband and I chose for our wedding. We were promised that Tai Flora would not let us down. We selected an arch from their website. As you can see in the photos I posted, the arch was a major disappointment. We had an agreement in which we paid 3,200 dollars for the arch that was supposed to be three times the size than what they gave us. We weren't allowed to see the arch until an hour before the wedding and at the point it was already too late to make any changes. Immediately after the ceremony, I complained and requested a full refund. However, Royalton Blue Waters and Tai Flora took over two weeks to relay that they could only offer me a small fraction of what we paid for the arch. We were charged an additional 300 dollars to relocate the arch to our reception. As they moved the arch, the flowers were falling off which only made a small arch even smaller. I would never recommend Tai Flora or Royalton Blue Waters to host your special day. In fact, I would encourage you to think twice before trusting this floral shop or this hotel to make your wedding an unforgettable event. The menu cards were incorrect and I was told by guests that some of them waited over an hour for their table to be called to get food at the wedding. The bar ran out of water long before the event was even over and had no plans of replenishing. It was due to wedding guests insisting for them to bring water that they finally restocked. he entire experience from beginning to end triggered my anxiety to which I am still dealing with. Every time I look at the pictures, it makes me so upset. I planned this wedding for over two years and I had to fake a smile on my wedding because the Royalton failed to deliver the wedding as agreed.…
I walked in pouring sweat and Micaela stopped me to give me a cold delicious drink! She is so sweet and the best bartender ever!! I did not realize I was so hot but she notices everything and made sure to take good good care of me!!
From check-in, the water park had 9 floats/75. % of water slides out of service, no room cleaning, horrible restaurant experience even though I paid extra for the lobster tail (2 hrs) to get salad. Don't go there. It would help if you had a butler because they drop the ball every time. I can't wait for Rui to open next door. I highly do not recommend this property. Diamond Club gets you nothing. The excuse at this place is why don't you get butler service.
We have been to Jamaica on numerous occasions but this trip stands out because of the impeccable service we received from our Butlers and staff. We were fortunate to have Mr. Jahmazing (Kamal) and Mr. Jamtastic. (Lennox) These gentlemen made sure we had the best accommodations and reservations on and off property. Make sure to book a cabana close to the swim up bar. Fun fitness workouts in the pool at 11:30 everyday.. We will definitely be back! We had to grab some Jamazzing shirts from Kamal. You will not be disappointed!
We originally booked the trip before Covid, so this holiday was a long time coming. We've been to Jamaica 3 times before as a couple, but this time was the first time as a family with our 10 year old All I can say is this didn't disappoint - At first I was a little nervous as all the good reviews were from people who had Diamond Club. We didn't have Diamond club as chose to spend the extra flying Premium – YOU DO NOT NEED DIAMOND CLUB TO GET GREAT SERVICE The staff at the hotel go the extra mile to make sure you have a good time with or without!! Our experience was fantastic every day • Plenty of sun loungers on the beach and by the pool so you don’t have to go down at silly o’clock • Daily entertainment was there if you wanted to get involved, but not in your face if you didn’t • Our son had a great time – He was fully included by the entertainment staff, and made lots of friends from all over. • There was a pool table as well which the kids loved • At the martini bar on an evening they would have a singer or someone playing an instrument to keep you entertained • The main show was really professional and kept everyone entertained • We were able to eat in the restaurants every night with a reservation and only used the buffet for breakfast and lunch. We really enjoyed the food, some restaurants more than others, and the buffet was the best buffet we had eaten at out of all the other times we've been to Jamaica. And guess what if there was some food you didn’t like there were plenty of other choices for you The only 2 things I would say weren’t as good as others were – it took ages to get served at the Blue Waters swim-up bar – it was quicker to walk over to the Sands bar, where Jermaine and Nikesha would look after you and ensure you were having a good time! The second thing was and this is so trivial – seats of an evening were either really low or really high – there was no in between. All in all a brilliant holiday we would really recommend for a family. (we keep singing the royalton song as heard it everyday) Big shouts out to the following people who worked there Akeem – He works on Beach dinners, but served us first night in Hunters, and became my sons favourite person. He would always come and find us to say hello Brenda and Denroy at the Sports bar. Brenda always had a drink ready for us when we arrived and if ever we did have to pop up the bar Denroy always served us quickly Dalbert and Raymond – On the Lobby bar. These guys were fantastic and kept us entertained. Unfortunately, they were split up on the last couple of nights on our holiday, to 2 different bars. Keep them together and keep them in the Lobby that’s where they belong, keeping everyone entertained as well as serving drinks! Teshane and Stacey Anne from the Hunters – always great service and they sang for my husband on his 50th with the rest of the staff Joyce at the Martini bar – Great service and made sure we were looked after Melasia and Ashaile – at the buffet. We didn’t have to order drinks they would be straight over knowing what we wanted – too much wine for my husband some lunchtimes 😊 – he loved them!! Stephan – with the Vibe team, Really great guy and wonderful to talk too. The level of energy and hard work to entertain the guests was amazing! Janesha on the Italian – Who remembered us each time and again, remembered what we liked, and made sure we were looked after And finally Jermaine and Nikesha on Sands bar – who looked after us every day. Always making sure we had what we needed whilst Jermaine also entertained and had fun with our 10 year old We are from the UK - My advice is to bring money for tips, tip what you can and tip for good service. We didn’t tip everyone but the service didn’t suffer if we didn’t. We had a blast and want to thank you at the Royalton for looking after us xxxxx…
The pool service is great! Always dancing and smiling. Miss Vinessa in particular is lovely and always handing out drinks that are delicious. Highly recommend this pool bar!also rajaun,Raniel and berry thank you all.
