Other than the beautiful African Gray at the door, the room was pretty large, decently clean, and the furniture is pretty new. That is the best I can say about the average hotel accommodations Stay if your choices are limited.

We got to this motel looking hotel. Before we even got in you can see everybody looks miserable. Look more like they are working against their will. Manager was so rude . Then we ran into the Covid situation. When we made the reservation we told him we were staying in the other part of the island for a couple of days then coming to their hotel. They said it wouldn’t be a problem as long as that we had our negative covid papers. We arrived at 7 PM Me my wife and my two girls which are 17, bottom line they told us we couldn’t stay there because I will Covid test has passed three days. But when they sold us the ticket they told us that would be an issue. I would never stay in a place like this anyway we just was staying there because we was coming to see family that just moved from the states. Most embarrassing Situation plus getting turned out from a place that look like that. Manager was so rude she’s worry so much about Covid she worry about her cholesterol level. My prediction for this place will be closed in less than a year. Bottom line place sucks…….

Never have I felt so degraded in my life. I was treated like a dog with my family of 5. The service at the front desk by the manager on site, Limary, was absolutely horrendous. COVID restrictions were changed during our stay 3 days prior to our reservation. We were all vaccinated except for my 7yr old, but we had proof of a negative test. Limary told us she could not let us stay because the results were older than 72 hours long. She told us we could go to a hospital to get a test at 8PM. Which would mean we wouldn’t have any results until almost midnight and we only had a one night stay due to a death in the family. My family and I were left with out a place to sleep. When I asked about my $350 deposit, Limary, once again, rudely told me she gave me the option of going to the hospital and that my deposit will need to wait until it’s realeased on their time. Which would not be until the next business day, maybe. I will never recommend this place. No tact or common courtesy for guests whatsoever.

The hotel has potential but did not meet expectations. The staff were not helpful. I arrived early and asked them to store luggage and they refused to assist. There is limited food during the week onsite, the local restaurants closed early and yet they did not offer help with heating up our food. There were no microwaves in the rooms accept for suites. I had to pay for ICE. The security guards and other guests were more helpful than the front desk.

The Fajardo Inn is potentially a nice hotel but its maintenance needs to be improved. Generally speaking, the place is relaxing but a few places need to be improved, for instance the main swimming pool area (Coco Park) needs maintenance. The tennis court lights do not go on in the evening (maybe there is a way to turn them on but it was not mentioned in the reception, there is a small soccer field but no soccer ball available. To depend on just a mexican restaurant is kind of limited since they tend to be spicy and not everybody likes spicy stuff. I know that a big hurricane hit in 2017 but some repaving and other improvements are a must to lure customers. Nevertheless, it is the second best hotel in the area and I am sure all these shortcomings will be addressed. G. C.
