Enjoyed our stay here as it was central to all tourist spots. The kitchen was some what over crowded in the mornings as its quite small. Our accomodation was ok a bit large for two adults we had a 20 foot caravan. We had no toaster only an electric jug,not able to pump water as this was not connected.not able to use the...

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage and it was the best we had stayed do far in NZ. Very spacious and lovely setting. Staff were very friendly. The 2 bedrooms are plenty big enough and the shower was fab... could have spent hours under it. Highly recommended.

With the exception of the lady at the reception desk all we encountered were rude people,eg; excuse me but there is no remote for the TV, answer, someone must have taken it, anyway of turning it on,bad luck was the answer then he proceeded to tell off my grandson for bouncing on the trampoline, so I would not recommend it...

The main building was once the Twizel Maternity Hospital (closed in the 1980s), but now forms the heart of a complex of self-contained rooms surrounded by cottages, camping sites, caravans, and even a whole house (sleeps 10-12). We visit every year in autumn and have enjoyed a warm welcome every time.

Twizel has three camper stops and this was our preferred choice having pulled up at the others. It is a gem of a little site. The others may have a lake situation but they also look unkempt, stoney and uninviting. This site makes up for not being by the lake as it is much nicer looking with impeccably clean and...

We came across Twizel from a drive from Christchurch. As it was the start on the Chinese New Year and a rowing competition it was very busy. the lady behind the desk was very nice and went the extra mile to make us comfortable although I thought $60 for a little patch of grass was quite expensive. Only stayed one...

Spent one night here with the family. Had an en-suite cabin. It was very roomy and clean and the beds were comfy. Very friendly service. Quick walk from here to town where there's a few shops and restaurants. No complaints at all.

We got horribly noisy ensuite unit 1 located between kitchen on right side and room occupied with two people with few months old children crying all the time, yes ALL the time. The room is big enough with quity comfy bed. Maybe we were just unlucky, but after our night flight we were really tired and did not sleep at...

Nice enough spot, handy to town, but 3 toilets simply aren't enough for the volume of campers. The kitchen and showers are also too minimalistic for the numbers staying here. The ablution block is clean though. In terms of on site activities there are none, so if you're thinking of taking kids here for a holiday, think again. You just...

We stayed in two chalets (three and two bedroom). The hotel is in good a location traveling from Wanaka and going to visit the Aoraki mountain. Chalets are well furnished and equipped for self catering. The supermarket is just 5 min drive or 10 min walk. Some bars are also available and provide really local atmosphere. is also worth to...
