We booked an A-frame Chalet which had a bedroom, a vee kitchen and a bathroom. It was so tidy and clean we absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It's nice and quiet and a perfect place for a peaceful get away and close to town.

The accommodation was reasonable without being anything special. There were no lounge chairs which makes it less comfortable than it ought. There was a small table and it was a bit tight overall. It had a separate kitchen. My review ratings try to be consistent and very rarely allocate a 5. Any that I give a 3 rating is good...

Hi Peter, thank you for your review. Kyle and I work hard to make everybody stay comfortable. We love to put lounge chairs in but the chalets are not big enough. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. cheers Glenna

Motel central to Twizel. V well equipped kitchens for self catering. Clean, tidy and very nicely made beds! Quiet and pleasant. Friendly staff. Close off A2O trail. I have to write 200 words and don't know what else to add but just wanted to write something as we had an easy and pleasant stay here while doing the ride. Thanks!

Facilities are good, bathroom doesn't come with a heater so if you bathe at night it can get quite chilly. Other than that, we had a good stay. Beds are very comfortable and have electrical heating. Rooms may seem a bit outdated but that doesn't affect me terribly. Staff were nice and gave us extra free wifi, which is very...

The little houses are very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The reception is friendly and helpful. Wifi is free. A good base to visit Mount Cook national park, only an hour drive. The village itself is pretty small, but a nice, with a good selection of restaurants and bars.

Location was nice (45 mins to Lake Tekapo and 45 minutes to Mt Cook treking trail), front desk was very friendly, beds were decently comfortable. Only issue is they left the windows open before we got there (without screens) so we had a couple instances with bugs which me and my 2 friends are NOT a fan of..if I had...

We stayed in this motel complex as part of the A20 tour. Check-in was painless with no waiting around. The units are mostly A-frame chalets with plenty of room in the lounge/kitchen. Bedroom is average size with a comfy bed. Bathroom facilities are clean with a fairly spacious room. Cook your own or dine out at the local pub or...

My husband and I spent one night at Mountain Chalet Motels during our road trip from Christchurch to Queenstown. This was a great stopover point after visiting Mount Cook earlier in the day. We really enjoyed our accommodation and would have happily stayed a second night if we were staying in that area. Twizel seems a great "base" for many...

Three male friends on a fishing holiday. Getting into town late with not much booked and plenty of competition for available accommodation! Houston, we have a problem. Enter Mountain Chalet Motels who were really accommodating and six nights later - Houston we have a solution. The staff were super friendly and flexible in letting us have `The Lodge' - thank...

Our first experience with a motel in NZ and a fantastic one. At first I found it a little expensive for a motel, but that is because my expectations were a little low. Now, after being there for 3 nights I found it worth every penny. The location was superb, in walking distance of restaurants and a big supermarket and...
