Big welcome, big bed, big towels, big breakfast; lovely views what more could you wish for? Well, there's the free transport to town and back, home cooked cakes and jams and I should add that apart from the amazing welcome from Liz, the breakfast was well cooked by daughter Megan. A real family B&B and worth staying for several days...

Liz is the ultimate host. We stayed at Websters for three days and she looked after us in every way possible. She is a wealth of knowledge of the area and goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable and hassle free. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, with a great sunny balcony that offers a delightful mountain...

This BnB is the best! From the moment we arrived, Liz, the owner, graciously and warmly greeted us. This BnB has everything! It was very clean! Nespresso coffee maker in the guests' kitchen area, separate from owners kitchen. Homemade, warm cookies, hot tub, laundry, nice views, star gazing is fantastic right outside your room. Turn down service! Comfortable and good...

We spent a lovely peaceful 3 nights with Liz and Neil at Websters on Wanaka Lodge. We were allocated the upstairs suite with amazing balcony views of the mountains and Lake Wanaka. The room was massive, with 2 armchairs and double doors onto a balcony. All the usual amenities provided, tea, coffee etc, mini fridge, extra pillows and blankets. Room...

Just spent two nights in Websters on Wanaka Lodge B&B in Wanaka and it was one of the best B&B's we have been in during our trip to the southern island of NZ. The rooms are spacious and comfy, with excellent views, there is a splendid breakfast on offer and the host is very helpful with anything you need. She...

We were told to go to Wanaka by some North Island locals. I hadn’t even heard of it. Apparently Wanaka is the in place to go to avoid the in crowd in Queenstown. Wonderfully scenic on the shores of Lake Wanaka and with the Rippon vineyard a few mile walk up on the west side of the lake. Worth several...

Back home after an amazing 9 night trip to south island. With high wage rates it’s expensive but the experience is worth it. Accommodation was great varying from Hermitage Suites in Christchurch to Novotel in Queenstown. All were as expected except Websters. It bills itself as a Lodge/apartments which by any known definition it is neither. This small house part...

Stayed here for 2 nights last February. Very impressed with hosts - happy to give rides to and from the town for evening meals; a lovely glass of wine in early evenings; couldn't be kinder or better. Lovely rooms too.

Many thanks for the lovely review and taking the opportunity to share your experience with others. Yes our guests do love a great Central Otago house wine or craft beer on the patio before going on to dinner. We hope you will be back here in Wanaka in future travel plans.

We stayed here one night an our way to Fox Glacier. Liz was a delightful host and she and Neil were welcoming and friendly. The en-suite bedroom was very clean and comfortable with a small balcony. The rooms open out into a little kitchen area for guests to use. Liz also made her laundry room available for us which we...

Thank you so much for sharing your experience here at the lodge. Guests do love the balconies with indoor outdoor flow from every room and the mountain vistas. We find that many guests love to share a glass of wine and make the most of this time around 6-6.30 to discuss their plans and arrange their activities. We are only...

Liz and Neil were consummate hosts - friendly, warm, informative and generous with their time, knowledge and care - nothing was a problem. Extremely comfortable beds, spacious and well-equipped rooms which were impeccably clean. The rooms were beautifully furnished and very private, but with easy access to delightful outdoor living spaces and garden. We enjoyed the relaxing and quiet ambience...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Websters on Wanaka Lodge and Apartments has both a boutique purpose built luxury accommodation Lodge and a choice of 1,2 or 3 bedroom luxury apartments in the Wanaka area. We are located just 1.5 Km from the lake and township. The lodge is well situated on the crest of a hill making the maximum of a sunny position on a fabulous 2 acres site in Wanaka. The alpine environment is such a picture postcard with sweeping picture windows throughout the Lodge to capture the panoramic view of the lofty Harris Mountain Range and World Heritage listed Mount Aspiring National Park. Our town apartments provide close proximity to town and only a few minutes walk to the lakefront. When your hosts Liz and Neil Webster took on the Lodge and Apartments that they have aptly refer to as Wanaka's Hidden Gem they instantly saw the huge appeal and its latent potential. They have both travelled extensively to most corners of the world so know first-hand what makes an ideal traveller or holiday maker retreat. This is such a perfect destination for those looking for a quiet retreat, a special event or a wedding with the added bonus of a real sense of privacy. They can accommodate individuals, couples or groups in a mix of either self-catering accommodation or full Bed and Breakfast service. ... more   less
