Hotel is very historical. Rooms are nice and the establishment has a restaurant and bar on the premises. They also have a guest laundry and a hot tub, two added pluses for us. It is a nice place to stay while exploring the area. Breakfasts are OK.

Broke our journey from Queenstown to Wanaka here and at Cardrona Peak. We had a light lunch in a large and grassed beer garden. The air temp was quite cool but delightful sitting in the sun. It was quite busy even for mid week but that is always a good sign, the crowd was a mix of locals and tourists....

Stayed one night in Dec 2016 at the Cardrona Hotel, the drive up Crown Range Road (coming from Queenstown/Arrowtown Side) the zig zag provides amazing views looking towards Queenstown. The drive is around 45mins but well worth it. The hotel is amazing with its history like going back in time. Cardrona Hotel staff is very helpful and generous, we were...

The team at Cardrona quickly organised the last room when our booking at an other establishment went pear-shaped. It was 22h00 at night, they could easily have said no, see you tomorrow, but the team was still very cheerful and assisting. The room was spotless clean, and it was the best sleep ever! Delightful breakfast at the fire outside with...

We stopped by on out way to Queenstown. The Cardrona Hotel is a piece of history. It has a really nice Courtyard with a fire place in the middle. Pop in for a couple of drinks and food if you drive past.

What a place, the open fires, great food, live music or the huge beer garden will ensure your family are well entertained and happy! There is plenty of grass to frolic around on and space for the kids!

Room was pleasant and nicely updated while retaining an historic feeling. The gardens were lovely. The highlight of the visit were the inviting public rooms including fireplaces with wood fires in the evening and again at breakfast. The included continental breakfast was fairly standard.

We arrived tired at the hotel and were so pleasantly surprised to see a bustling hotel in between of no where!! It's half an hour from Wanaka but a beautiful drive. The hotel is charming, our kids loved it as they played around on their own and there was a safe play area. Good food, music and staff. We missed...

Delightful hotel with a cozy ambiance. Room was spacious, bathroom was well appointed with a walk-in shower easily accessible for disabled persons. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.
