Just a bit outside of Wanaka this B&B faces Hawea River and if you are lucky enough to stay upstairs there is a balcony where you can sit and drink your coffee/wine whilst checking out the river flowing at a pretty reasonable rate. Our hosts Rob & Gretel were great as well sitting down with us for breakfast they had...

This genteel establishment made us most welcome. The beds are comfortable, the gardens are shady and sheltered, the layout is quaint and the general ambiance is one of warmth and charm. I enthusiastically recommend Riversong to anyone who is looking for proximity to the attractions of the area (and there are many) and also a refuge from the crowds which...

What a delightful place to stay. The property is beautiful, located in a quiet spot overlooking the free-flowing river. The rooms are very comfortable and airy, and the garden very pretty. We stayed one night only, but even in that short time, Ann, the owner, helped us so much with local knowledge, generosity with her TV, flexibility with breakfast timing (allowing...

Upon recommendation from a friend we stayed in the downstairs room, which was spotless, well appointed and very comfortable. It felt like we had our own private section of the home. We had our own veranda overlooking the Clutha river. It was very quiet and private. Our host Ann was very polite, helpful and the breakfast was delicious. She gave...

Arriving at Riversong, you can hardly believe it's quite real. The location, at the end of a cul-de-sac, overlooking the river which is gin clear and reflects the sky, with the flowers all blooming along the banks is just perfect. And the beautiful painted weatherboarding on the house along with the decking lovely garden is just gorgeous. Our bedroom and...

My husband and I recently honeymooned in New Zealand and traveled both islands. We found Riversong through tripadvisor and booked it for our South Island portion of the trip. We were in the downstairs room and had a view of the Clutha River and our own patio. The room and ensuite was cleaned every morning with fresh towels, shampoo, etc....

I just got back from a wonderful 3 day stay at Riversong. I had the downstairs room which was spotlessly clean and immaculate with tasteful, quality décor. The room has an uninterrupted view across to the river. It is well heated if needed. There is an outdoor deck area right outside the door complete with comfy chairs and a library...

We had stayed two nights here at late October. This is one of the best places we have ever been to and thanks Ann, who is utterly warm and had accommodated us very well. She is kind and had helped a great deal recommending things to do around Wanaka. The hotel brings a home feeling and we enjoyed the river...
