This is the central philosophy of the owner, who calls himself Crazy Man. This guy is so generous and easygoing; he's had an interesting life, so sit and chat with him if you have the time. The website is outdated; there are actually several rooms, including a big dorm, and the dorm beds are just about the best value on...

The lodge is situated a bit out of Nungwi town, but the extremly helpful owner makes sure his guets gets into town and back in his mini-bus. The standars of the rooms is simple, it's a back-packers place. But there was nothing wrong with the beds, and as long as there was power from the city grid, the fan kept...

Booked this place after reading the rave reviews and low price. We travelled by Dallas Dallas from Stone Town which will only set you back 3000 shillings and 1h40mins. The road in is off the main road half a kilometer before the roundabout road terminal and directly across from a tall radio/phone tower. We, unfortunately, found out that there actually...

Wanted to stay here, but decided upon arrival to leave. The place looks like a garage and lacks atmosphere... the room I was supossed to stay in smelled and no curtains really so no privacy. Many people seem to like the owner, but he seemed a bit odd to me. I felt really uncomfortable here. Besides that: far far away...

Thank you Mzushi for amazing time in your hostel. Nice place with hot shower yo very good price. You get amazing breakfast (!) and free ride to the beach otherwise just 10-15 minutes to walk. Ask Mzushi for dinner , he is very good chef, we really enjoyed. Safe place to stay with free wifi, and nice breakfast 5/5

Stayed with Mzushi for four nights. Very nice man who went out of his way to make us welcome and show us around the town. Really nice breakfast. Great if you want to self cater too. 10/15 minute walk to the beach, but Mzushi is alway happy to drive.

This place is the best hostel/hotel in Tanzania for sure!! The owner would give his life for his customers and he literally gave it for us. Breakfast was included (13$ for dorm bed) and really good! Everything is very clean, hot showers and good mattresses! Even laundry service was for free! And as that wasn't enough he even gave us...

The owner is the coolest, funniest and friendliest person on the whole island! He took us to the beach and restaurant with his own car several times for free (not like everywhere else), also a very good breakfast and laundry service was included! Great Hostel for great price - I would go there again for sure

Very friendly and helpful owner. Mzushi offered/provided free transport to the beach and back. Cozy courtyard was a relaxing place to hang out. Only a 15 min walk to beautiful Nungwi beach. The owner is an awesome cook. If you stay there, be sure to have him cook you a dinner. Delicious fresh and local food at a great price....

I stayed at this place in July 2016 - alone. If you're a Girl that's probably the worst decision you can make! The hostel owner is abosolutely disgusting and obtrusive! One of the Girls at the hostel (also alone) was so scared of him (as he stood behind her in the bathroom of the dorm at night - asking her...
