This is definitely a place where I could think of staying forever... Absolutely stunning views and a warm lovely atmosphere created by host Pat and her staff. And not to mention the food - Pat is a great cook. I only regret we didn't stay longer than 3 nights. We stayed at the family house beside the gate.

Morning Mist guesthouse is situated a few kms outside Ella , on the mountainside in the beautiful mountain landscape. Pat, the host is very welcoming and said to be the best cook in the neighborhood. We stayed 2 families for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. It's simple but everything works, there is wifi and rooms all have...

Morning Mist is just lovely. It is quite remote so be prepared for a long drive to get there. Once there you can appreciate the stunning views and Pat's wonderful cooking. Dining is communal so it's a brilliant way to meet other guests and share tips on how to spend your time there. Wifi and hot water are available but...

Morning Mist Review. Morning Mist... where to start. One of the most stunning places I've stayed at in my life. Let me just begin by saying, look no further. Book this guest house asap. And plan on staying a couple days longer than you anticipated, you're not going to want to leave. The Location: It's positioned between Ella and Bandarawela,...

All the previous reviews are spot on. This is a perfect isolated location for a tranquil, relaxed time with delicious food. Pat and her team are great hosts - couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome than we were. You'll want to eat all your meals at the guesthouse (and there aren't really any alternatives nearby). Be prepared...

(Note: this is a long overdue review, but I have thought about this stay so many times in the last year I had to share). Stayed here for two nights seeking a quiet refuge from a really crazy six months in India (where I arrived from two days before). It was a little more expensive than I was used to...

It was my third visit to Ella and in Morning Mist this July. The red rooftop guesthouse sits in a stunning location, within a 15 min walking range to the Rawanna Waterfalls and a 30 min walking range to the Eagles Rock that offers a 360 panaromic view over Ella! After my second visit to Morning Mist, I told my...

Very friendly and helpful. Great food, stunning views. I am vegetarian and staff were unphased by this. Food was primarily Sri Lankan with interesting european fusion elements - VERY tasty. Great setting with hill walks from house. Highly recommended. Thank you Pat and staff. See you again - Dave and Sengli

Thank you for a wonderful stay Pat. We had a wonderful two nights here with our three kids. We had the family villa which was a perfect stroll from the big house. The standout for us was Pat and her wonderful stories and her amazing food!! Nothing was too much. She catered to our kids dislike or spice, one child's...
