We stayed at this hotel for 7 days. About 3 of those days had record heat in the 90s. We are from Texas and know all about triple digit heat, but when you have no working air conditioner and have to open your windows to get a slight breeze...not good. Why? Bright lights, drunken people, crazy drivers - all starting from 10 pm until about 4 am. We didn't really sleep for those six nights. If you are on a budget and don't need sleep then this is the place for you. Positive note: we really liked the owners. They were from Sicily and very kind. Breakfast: simple continental.

It's an old structure, old furniture, huge price for 2** , at least for my taste..... no elevator, you hear all noises........The only positive thing: it was warm. For one night, it's ok......close to the center.... And the hospital :):):):)

The location is a plus! It is close to the lake and the churches, but on the quiet street. Wifi connection in the rooms pretty good. (-): Only light snacks for breakfast. Bread was forgotten there from the other day in a packed case, so left on the table completely unedible. You have to ask for each cup of tea/coffee.

We arrived in Arona by train and walked for a few minutes to get to the hotel. It is in a quiet street, just over the road from the new hospital but to the other side there is the centre of the town and then the lake. Reception is open for limited hours so if you are unsure when you are getting there then liaise with them in advance. Once you have your keys you can use the main door key to get back in the front door. In common with many town centre hotels that have been upgraded with private facilities the rooms are small but everything is there, you just don't have space to do hand-stands etc. My only negative was that I felt the walls were a bit thin, I could hear doors closing/opening, people talking sometimes but with little noise outside one can sleep okay. The breakfast is a simple buffet in the breakfast room, your choice of tea or coffee will be brought from the bar. There is a good selection of restaurants in a few minutes walk for dinner.

The location is good, close to everything. This is a 2-star hotel, but ok. Nothing fancy, but a bed and a shower. The breakfast was really bad though, at least if you're not in to sweet cakes and black bananas.

This small hotel in the middle of town up the steps from the old town and lakeside. Don't expect this to be a bargain you get what you pay for a poorly decorated and maintained room. There is really no excuse for this I have stayed in some budget hotels which have been cared for immaculately. There were cables on the stairway from a drinks machine which leaked onto the reception desk! Breakfast was a bit sad with only the coffee and some croissants being fresh.

The hotel looks old and nice from the outside, but inside it looks terrible.Like a poor and decadent hotel in the 70's. Chaotic staff (not uncommon in Italy) , no lift for room on second floor. The room was spacious, with three small windows. No remote control for TV, no shower curtain, just one hanger for all the clothes, phone ringing at the reception and nobody paying attention (I could hear it inside my room)... No fresh bread during early breakfast (it did arrived, along with the late waitresses when we where cheking out. You do get what you payed for (in my case, 60€ for a double with breakfast)... The location is good, you can walk to the railway station and to the lake.

A nice clean place. Our room was newly remodled. The room was very small by U.S> standard, but was OK. Nice freindly staff. I would stay there again.

Cant understand the last person's review as I had a totally different expereince. As a New Zealander, travelling solo, who cant speak any Italian the staff were wonderful. They made a huge effort to converse with me and ensure my stay was enjoyable and hassle free. The room and ensuite was tidy, spacious and clean - great value for 40 Euros, which also included breakfast and a fresh cappaccino. They let me check in (with my airline) on the internet free of charge and organised my transport for to the airport. Well beyond their call of duty. The hotel was close to the main pedestrian lane of shops by the lake which made it really convenient and safe for looking around, especially if traveling alone. This is is a wonderful little inexpensive place to explore the lake from, while close to Milan airport.

This hotel is awful, not sure where to start, it is grubby, stinks of cigarette smoke, needs redecoration and the staff are rude and unhelpful. However, it is handy for an early morning flight from Milan Malpensa airport, but make sure to follow the bossy instructions to pay and check out the night before, the staff seem to go home at 9pm not to return til 8am. Our double room was small and clean for Euro 50 per night, but it smelt really strongly of smoke, as did my hair and all our clothes the next day. Even the (clean) towels smelt of smoke. They do not have non smoking rooms and thought us strange to ask for one. Reception at the weekend seemed to be staffed by a surly 14 year old, who would rather watch youtube than help customers. On street parking was available nearby but only because it was Sunday, during the week you can't park for more than an hour. Our room was also opposite a small hospital, and the glass recycling was collected (loudly) at 6am, quite a wake up call. The waitress serving breakfast was the only smiling face we saw. Arona seems to be a pretty town on the lakeside (we arrived in foggy season so wouldn't really know) but the night life was fun, with a young crowd in the bars and lots of great pizza restaurants along the lakeside. Also hot chocolate that you can stand a spon up in is not to be missed.
