We had a great time at this establishment. The room was well maintained, clean and roomy. A lot of time has been spent to maintain the Tuscan charm of the buildings. We stayed at Borgo Argenina for eight days. In hindsight, it we have been better to book a villa and be somewhat self-sufficient. The buildings are set in a...

Borgo Argenina was tranquility for us! The views are incredible. Sit, relax and sip some wine while you watch the sun set, placing a golden hue over the majestic hills. After the crowds and the hectic pace of Rome, Venice and Florence, the beautiful hills and the slower pace of Tuscany reset our souls! Elena made us feel so welcomed,...

Don't even waste your time looking for another property in this region. Do yourself a favor and stay here as long as you can. The location is a movie set and the people are lovely. If I go back to this area in Italy, I'll stay here again, and I never stay in the same place twice!!!!! Book it now.

We just returned from Italy and a four night stay at the lovely Borgo Argenina. Driving the scenic route from Florence treated us to some of the most beautiful views we've ever seen. When we arrived at the borgo we were blown away by the beauty of this medieval property with flowers spilling from window boxes and gorgeous rolling hills...

The Borgo Argenina is everything you think about when you rent a Villa in Tuscany. My wife and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else and can't wait to return to Tuscany and will definitely return to Borgo Argenina. This is Tuscany !!! We stayed 5 nights (and I would recommend nothing less), and enjoyed the location both to stay in...

The location was fantastic. Incredible views of the rolling Tuscan countryside greeted us each morning and evening. With Elena's knowledge of the local villages, restaurants, wineries, etc., there was always a unique place to day-trip or catch an incredible evening meal. She has done a wonderful job of transforming these old country stone structures into a warm and charming welcome...

Dear PeggyJohn, Thank you to describe our life at Borgo Argenina and to love my place. I also loved to cook mamma’s ragù with you and to make homemade pasta. Someone called it noodles. Do you remember ? I tell everybody: ‘Don’t call it noodles! This is Italian Pasta Fresca!’ It was so funny. Each day after breakfast, we planned...

My husband and I stayed with Elena following 3 busy days in Florence. What a wonderful contrast this hillside haven provided. Natural beauty of the land, an incredible refurbished hamlet, and hospitality galore made this the perfect spot to day-trip from. Elena provided a great map, suggestions of routes and restaurants, and plenty of history to boot. Perhaps the highlight...

Thank you dear guests to appreciate my place. I loved to spend time with you cooking, drinking and having fun. In the morning we went to the mill to get the October new olive oil. We grilled bread slices in our large fireplace in my kitchen, to make ‘bruschetta’ and eat with our Chianti Classico. Delicious! Simple food of country...

I showed up at night and two very friendly dogs meet me at my car and escort me to the front door of this completely restored 6 century old stone house. The dogs 'introduce' me to Elana, the gracious Proprietor and host and I am ushered into my beautiful room. Elena gives me a detailed map of the region and...

Dear Howie, Thank you, I love your comment! Borgo Argenina is in Chianti close to Brolio Castle, birthplace of the famous wine Chianti Classico. Chianti is the ideal region to visit the traditional Tuscany with its hamlets, castles, monasteries, and rolling hills covered in vineyards. Since the second world war its charming landscape attracted many artists from all over the...

What makes you return four times over a 12 year period to the same place thousands of miles from home? Whatever that magical alchemy is, Borgo Argenina has it. Certainly, a big part of it is the owner, Elena Nappa, who greets every guest, new or old, with "the Welcome." Elena gives you a beautiful map and cookbook and spends...

Lovely countryside and villa. Tuscan farmhouse meets industrial modern decor. Very charming. Proprietor Elena is a unique and gifted hostess, cook, and historian. A great way to experience the Tuscan countryside and get a reprieve from hectic city touring.
