What a great afternoon we had with Victor who taught us all about the wonderful wines of Castello di Tornano. He showed us around the castle and property before the wine tasting and snacks of local prociutto and cheese in the wine cellar. We had called before to make a reservation for tasting only but ended up staying for lunch...

A wonderful tranquil place to stay in the beautiful Chianti region of Italy. A family owned castle with spacious rooms decorated in classical style. Amazing views from the roof terrace. Breakfast is fine, if you know to ask for cooked eggs, omelette etc. The long drive can be rough and steep, so not well suited to low slung cars

The castle surrounding is beautiful nature. really calm, no civilization noises. Room are nice, best to stay in the castle itself. The top of the tower is accessible to enjoy beautiful sunsets. Great restaurant with tasty food and wines. A safe bet for your vacation.

Great location as it is ideally located to visit towns like Sienna, Florence but also smaller villages like st Gimijiano, Gaeole, Rada . If you like visiting wineries Castillo Di Ama and Di Volpaea are worth a visit. Our apartment was spacious but not clean to the standard expected as kitchen and bathrooms need decorating. With the money we paid...

The rolling hills of Tuscany (very big hills) will leave you awestruck as you drive the winding roads leading up to this magical kingdom. As we first laid our eyes on the top of the castle, we were instantly transported back in time to the middle ages. There are more attractive castles in the world but the thing that captured...

I couldn't tell you about this castle as they cancelled our reservations a week before our trip and left us with no place to stay. They did it over email and suggested we stay at another property that was nearly double the price. We were looking forward to staying here for our one year anniversary.

Set in the midst of the gorgeously green 'Chianti' countryside and hidden away up a long, slightly bumpy, track, Castello di Tornano is stunning and has been very sympathetically adapted into a tranquil hotel that is filled with charm and historical character. Our room was in the 1000-year-old tower up two stone staircases. Staying there felt as though we were...

This was our 3rd time at the Castle, and I'll admit the second time, about 3 years ago, it wasn't quite up to par, but this time we really enjoyed ourselves. It seems Victor is back and working hard to make the place better than before...some new staff in the kitchen and it shows, we had 2 dinners there, both...

Spent nearly a week at this castle, and what an unwind that was. Everything from the atmosphere around the castle itself, the rooms, the service, the wine and not at least the food cooked by Mama Anna, made this a very special place. A place to return to, for sure.

The car park could have had a better covering than gravel as this was difficult to pull your suitcase over. The greeting was friendly, the wine tasting very informative and good value for money. Grounds well kept, a good place to relax. Signage not the best
