    About
    Hotel description
In the picturesque old town of Massa Marittima, a beautiful medieval village of Maremma, was born “Il Castello”, an elegant and cozy bed & breakfast, offering its guests a refined environment in line with anyone who wants to breathe past and contemporary atmosphere. This bed & breakfast has the honor of being in a fourteenth-century historic building of Massa, Palazzo Albizzeschi, destination for tourist itineraries as the birthplace of San Bernardino of Siena.Entering into “Il Castello”, you will pass by the “Dazio” and the “Sala del Leone”, the common spaces where guests may look at the permanent exhibition of the artist Marina Bufano, who’s also the “hostess”. Then you’ll find “Dama” and “Cortigiana” , rooms intended for real living. Both rooms offer, given their location, views of the city and of the “Torre del Candeliere”, of Walls of the Sienese Fortress, of the main street of the Terziere di Cittavecchia, where parades in medieval costume will delight the visitor.
