Location excellent. All the rest... nada... zero. Yes, the Wi-Fi worked OK. No breakfast, not even an electrical kettle in the room or the property !!. Also no staff in the property, so any question or request (extra blanquet) have to call them. Its true that the calls were answered immediately but not a nice feeling. And the price is high for the services that they provide. Room ample and clean. Leonardo
We spent a night in Belmonte on our way up to Porto. This guest house was simple but clean and well-appointed, all things considered. It is literally opposite the castle ruins that sit atop Belmonte in the old town, has its own decent restaurant and verandah bar with a good view. It is also only a minute away from another decent restaurant. Our bed was a bit saggy and the pillows were rock hard by my standards so I would test it out before calling it a night. The continental breakfast in the morning was good (nice coffee and croissant in addition to the standard roll, cheese and ham). Overall, it perfectly fit our needs and budget while passing through.
This is a nice, affordable guest house right by the fort/castle in Belmonte. Afaik, there are only three rooms and a restaurant. The building is extremely well-maintained, tidy, and clean. The room is relatively spacious, large closet, private bathroom, tv, Juliette balcony. My companion stayed at a nearby poussada on his last trip here and said that the facilities are comparable (for 1/5 the price) but that the atmosphere is obviously better/special at the poussada.
