For anyone travelling through this area in Spain you will understand how you are out in the middle of nowhere and then suddenly you come across a gem. We wanted accommodation outside Madrid and randomly chose Chinchon without knowing anything about it, all I can say is if you are in this general vicinity then make this a must to visit. The next pleasant surprise was this gorgeous, very Spanish accommodation. Nothing too fancy but the young lady who manages it is very pleasant, even without any English we managed to sort everything out with lots of notes and she was very accommodating. The room was a good size, very clean and had good access. A great place to stay if you are like us and like to avoid the main cities, it is a very simple bus ride into Madrid and saves the stress of driving. …
Got there late in the evening, and my mobile not working did not help. We had to stay at different hotel for the first night, because check in times are until 21:00 only and at midnight when we got there, there was of course no one hugging us. We checked in the following morning in one of the apartments, where we stayed with our kids. Once my mobile started working again, I soon realised that the hotel had tried several times and by various means to contact us the night before until very late. And have been extremely reasonable when it comes to the charges. The accommodation is simple, but extremely clean and in good order - with everything one needs. Air conditioning works perfectly. The location is quiet, still it is few hundreds meters away from the centre of the town, so very convenient. Wifi connection might be improved in terms of speed, but must be the town location in the middle of the countryside rather than the hotel itself - and little internet for few days might also be a plus, in a way!…
Hotel is clean, simple and easy to find. Located just outside the centre but a ten minute walk away. Breakfast simple, little choice but tasty - not worth the price though. Avoid rooms on ground floor - rooms are all off reception area so you here people/kids coming and going. Would recommend for a stay-over
I recently stayed in this hotel. It is a very quiet area and the rooms are functional and clean. Although with few bulbs, especially the bathroom. The breakfast area is quite small and crowded cannot munch before 9 o'clock. We liked the place and it's tranquility however the owner ( a woman) could be a little more friendly
Such a gorgeous place, beautiful sitting areas, lovely room, close to centre. Perfect! I was travelling alone and I do get a bit fed up with having to crash in a room. No problem here, with two sitting areas, drinks and snack machines tastefully to one side, but with cava and beer, soft drinks, coffee etc, all at extremely good prices. I am going to come back for a longer stay with hubby!
