Excellent, spacious and clean room with good bathroom, comfortable bed and large balcony with an amazing view. Staff were very friendly and room was cleaned daily. Very close to square with all of the shops, bars and restaurants but not noisy. Room had air conditioning and we were shown where to park our hire car. Would definitely stay again!
Without doubt one of the favorite places I have ever stayed. Elegant, cozy and the epitome of good taste combined: a true jewel. Upon arrival the warm welcome by the owner Miguel was amazing, he provided me with advise and help at the time, quite the friendly experience and he deserves a special thanks. Remarkable evenings to the terrace view and the great weather we enjoyed which added up to the experience. It was so hard to leave such beautiful and comfortable place!
First find a place to park Your car, then find the way to the Hotel in this small city, where most of the cars seems to been in contact with the walls in the narrow streets. Ring the bell and wait........nice cuppel open the old wodden door, and You will get a room with a wiew over the city. Nice room good bed air con, bath very good, but the wiew !!!! Get a bottel of wine in the local shop and let them open it for You, sit on the small garden at Your room and relax when the evening com. The center of the city (Mayor Place) is formed as an old Bull fighting arena, and all the Restaurants are build in this senario. Take a stroke in this small city, eat at one of the expencive Restaurants, and then relaxe at Your hotelroom with the stunning wiew over the old town, bee prepaird to bargin on the time of Breakfast😀😀 and You will in a small lokal have a small Breakfast with good coffee fresch orange jucie and toast, then try to finde the way out of the Town , We will be back…
The owner, Miguel, could not have been more helpful. Allowed us to change our booking to accommodate us in two of his three rooms with terraces. The terraces have wonderful views over the town - book those if you can. The rooms are cool and the air conditioning works well. The shower has a rainforest head with good pressure. When we got our tweezers stuck in a bottle of wine - he left us a corkscrew on the balcony and managed to retrieve the tweezers! Breakfast is basic but Miguel squeezes large glasses of fresh orange juice.
Terrazas a la Plaza is what is known as a "Casa Rural" in Spanish which roughly translates as an upmarket B&B in English. It's situated up a narrow, cobbled street some 150m from the beautiful town square. And when I say up, I mean those who prefer living life on the flat should probably look elsewhere. But once you manage to find the place it's well worth the trouble. Our room had a door leading out to a large terrace (some may describe it as a small garden!) with table and chairs which overlooks the rooftops of Chinchón all the way down to the square below. Very romantic! Miguel, the friendly owner, is apparently an antiques dealer which explains why our small room was so tastefully furnished, albeit with largely reproduction antique furniture. Most importantly the large double bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the ensuite had an excellent power-shower. We chose not to have breakfast in-house, preferring instead to stroll down to the main square to enjoy coffee and churros in one of the many terrace bars. Overall, both Terrazas and Chinchón were a wonderful find which we will definitely return to again.…
