My partner and I stayed at the Feathers in Budleigh Salterton for one night (should have been two) but due to circumstances beyond our control we could only stay for the one night. The staff were great and didnt charge us for the second night even though we had booked a second night and had to leave after the first....

first impressions were not good, the decor was very tired, The walls were quite thin and we could hear our neighbours talking. We had tea making facilities but had to go in search of milk. There was no welcome pack. However the room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and despite the thin walls the only disturbance...

Set back from the sea in the high street this is a traditional pub with accommodation. Staff are very friendly, rooms clean and nicely decorated. The meals are good with a wide choice of dishes. The full breakfast is outstanding. It has two of everything and is nicely cooked, with good quality ingredients. Overall this hotel very good value and...

'The Feathers' was worthy of the bird of paradise plumes. Our family ordered everything from scallops with tiger prawns and sweet chilli sauce, to perfectly cooked pork belly with crackling and mash. All was provided in a warm and friendly traditional English pub environment. Everything down to the veg came out with great attention to detail and was served at...

Had lunch here and to be honest the menu wasn't the best I've seen this place had the feel more of a "sit and sawdust" pub. The staff were pleasant enough and the food was fair but I won't rush back sorry.

Went to the Feathers for a spot of lunch, was greeted by the friendly landlady, the lunch was both cheap and smashing, the real ale beautiful the place was spotlessly clean and tidy, friendly staff and locals. The most friendliest of the many pubs we visited whilst on holiday in East Devon.

The Feathers Pub/Hotel is in severe need of refurnishing as nothing has been done to the decor for the past ten years. Despite advising the new owner of the need to decorate -nothing appears to have been done. For this reason, we have reduced our visits to have dinner, and merely popped in for a quick ham/egg & chips as...

Having stayed in the Feathers on two previous occasions, we were mildly disappointed to find the accommodation not quite up to the standard we had enjoyed before. The room gave a distinct feeling of shabbiness and neglect; house-keeping left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was a good size but a feeble shower and nowhere to hang wet towels...
